The New Orleans Saints are now the NFC favorites to win Super Bowl 54. The Saints are followed by the Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, and Dallas Cowboys. Check out last year’s betting stats for the Top 5 NFL Super Bowl faves along with a prediction for this upcoming season!

NFC Super Bowl LIV Favorites Betting Stats

New Orleans Saints

  • Super Bowl LIV Odds: +900

In 2018, New Orleans was the best team in the NFC against the spread. The Saints went an awesome 10-6 ATS. Because the Saints are a high-scoring team, they faced huge over/under totals, though. The over/under went 7-9 last year.

Expect more of the same this season. The schedule is daunting with road games against the Rams, Bears, and Seahawks, but all that means is New Orleans covers as a dog instead of a favorite. There’s a good chance New Orleans has another winning record against the spread.

L.A. Rams

  • Super Bowl LIV Odds: +1200

The Rams were 13-3 straight up, but went 7-8-1 ATS in 2018. Los Angeles played in the same number of over games as under games, 8.

This season, the Rams should again hover around .500 against the spread. The NFC West plays the AFC North. The North is deep. 3 teams from the AFC North, the Steelers, Ravens, and Browns, can win the conference. L.A. could find itself a covering dog, much like the Saints. More than likely, they stay around the 7-9, 8-8 ATS level.

Philadelphia Eagles

  • Super Bowl LIV Odds: +1300

The Eagles went 7-9 ATS. The over/under total went 7-9. For the Eagles, it all depends on Carson Wentz’s health. Wentz hasn’t been healthy the past couple of seasons. Philly won’t get the luxury of leaning on a great quarterback like Nick Foles this season.

If Wentz doesn’t get hurt, Philadelphia could flip their against the spread record from 7-9 to 9-7. If things really gel on offense and defense, the Eagles could go 10-6, or, maybe, 11-5 ATS. They start the season versus Washington, Atlanta, and Detroit. That could be three wins on the moneyline and against the spread.

Chicago Bears

  • Super Bowl LIV Odds: +1600

Chicago was the top covering team in the NFL last season. The Bears went an unreal 12-4 ATS. It’s hard to see the Bears duplicating that feat in 2019. The schedule is brutal. The Bears play the Saints, Eagles, Chargers, Rams, Cowboys, and Chiefs in addition to their NFC North rivals.

Chicago should end up 7-9 or 8-8 ATS if they have a decent season. If they have a mediocre season, they could go down to 6-10 ATS.

Dallas Cowboys

  • Super Bowl LIV Odds: +2000

The Cowboys went 9-7 ATS last season. The over/under total went 7-9. Cowboys bettors should be staring at the same against the spread record this season. The Cowboys might be undervalued against the spread in 2019.

If that happens, don’t be surprised if Dallas goes 10-6 ATS. The schedule is tough, which means they’ll be unloved underdogs or lukewarm favorites. Pay attention to Dallas as a possible NFC team to back to cover the spread during the regular season.
