NY Jets at Arizona Betting Lines & Free Pick

Written by on October 13, 2016

The Arizona Cardinals will look to both, win consecutive games for the first time this season while handing the reeling New York Jets their fourth straight loss, when tae to the field at University of Phoenix Stadium for their Week 6 Inter-conference clash. Now, let’s find out which team is offering the most value in the NFL odds.

Let’s Take a Look at the NY Jets at Arizona Betting Lines, Free Pick & TV Info

When: Monday, October 17 at 8:30 PM ET Where: University of Phoenix Stadium TV: ESPN Radio: New York / Arizona Live Stream: NFL Live NFL Odds: Arizona -6.5 Total: 47

Why Bet The New York Jets?

The Jets are completely and utterly desperate! New York (1-4 SU, 1-3- 1 ATS) has lost three straight games and were on the wrong end of a convincing 31-13 smackdown at the hands of Pittsburgh last weekend while never coming close to covering the spread as a 9.5-point underdog. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick passed for 255 yards and one touchdown in the loss while running back Matt Forte was limited to 53 rushing yards on 12 carries. For the season, Fitzpatrick has passed for 1,267 yards with five touchdowns and a whopping 10 interceptions. The Jets are struggling offensively as they’ve been limited to just 18.4 points per game to rank 24th in scoring while giving up a whopping 27.2 points per game defensively (22nd).

Why Bet The Arizona Cardinals?

The Cardinals are the better team in all three phases and are playing at home. Arizona (2-3 SU, 2-3 ATS) beat up on beleaguered San Francisco in their commanding 33-21 Week 5 win while easily covering the NFL betting line as a 3.5-point favorite. Backup quarterback Drew Stanton passed for 124 yards and two touchdowns in the win while running back David Johnson rushed for 157 yards and two scores on 27 carries. The Cardinals are averaging a solid 25.0 points per game to rank 12th in scoring while limiting the opposition to just 20.2 points per contest defensively to rank 10th in points allowed.

My Free Prediction and Pick

I know Carson Palmer is due back on the field for this Week 6 matchup, but I’m going to go with the underdog Jets to cover the spread, mostly because I think the Cardinals have their own issues right now as they’ve been the epitome of a ‘Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’ kind of team. Arizona is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games and 0-6 ATS in their last six Monday night games. While New York is just 1-4- 1 ATS in its last six games and 1-3- 1 ATS in their last five road games, the Jets are also 4-1- 1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record. I believe sheer desperation will drive the Jets to get the ATS cover at the very least! My Pick: Arizona 27 NY Jets 24
