The Jets are completely and utterly desperate! New York (1-4 SU, 1-3- 1 ATS) has lost three straight games and were on the wrong end of a convincing 31-13 smackdown at the hands of Pittsburgh last weekend while never coming close to covering the spread as a 9.5-point underdog. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick passed for 255 yards and one touchdown in the loss while running back Matt Forte was limited to 53 rushing yards on 12 carries. For the season, Fitzpatrick has passed for 1,267 yards with five touchdowns and a whopping 10 interceptions. The Jets are struggling offensively as they’ve been limited to just 18.4 points per game to rank 24th in scoring while giving up a whopping 27.2 points per game defensively (22nd).

My Free Prediction and Pick

I know Carson Palmer is due back on the field for this Week 6 matchup, but I’m going to go with the underdog Jets to cover the spread, mostly because I think the Cardinals have their own issues right now as they’ve been the epitome of a ‘Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’ kind of team. Arizona is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games and 0-6 ATS in their last six Monday night games. While New York is just 1-4- 1 ATS in its last six games and 1-3- 1 ATS in their last five road games, the Jets are also 4-1- 1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record.
