Las Vegas Raiders 2018 NFL Betting Guide

Written by on July 6, 2018

With former head coach Jon Gruden back in the NFL after a nine-year absence and being paid handsomely to lead the Las Vegas Raiders to the promised land at some point in the near future, all eyes will be on the Raiders when the 2018 regular season gets underway in September. No matter how the Raiders fare this coming season, Oakland has a bunch of must-see, must-bet matchups that NFL betting aficionados just shouldn’t miss. Here’s my expert betting analysis on those contests!

Oakland Raiders 2018 NFL Betting Guide

Week 1: Monday, Sept. 10, vs. Los Angeles Rams, 10:20 PM ET

The Raiders have a big Monday night match in Gruden’s return but it won’t be a successful one as the Rams handle their business by getting the road win in what looks like an exciting matchup just waiting to happen! NFL Betting Pick:: Rams 30 Raiders 21

Week 2: Sunday, Sept. 16, at Denver Broncos, 4:25 PM ET

This longtime AFC West rivalry is always a must-see matchup. Denver gets the win in this one though because they have a competent quarterback and they’re playing at home. NFL Betting Pick:: Broncos 27 Raiders 24

Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 23, at Miami Dolphins, 1 PM ET

Gruden will out-coach Adam Gase and Derek Carr will definitely outplay Miami’s Ryan Tannehill. The Raiders win despite being on the road to cover the chalk as a field goal underdog. It’s that simple! NFL Betting Pick:: Raiders 28 Dolphins 24

Week 4: Sunday, Sept. 30, vs. Cleveland Browns, 4:05 PM ET

Las Vegas gets the win at home against former head coach Hue Jackson, but this Week 4 matchup is going to be a lot closer than most people expect! NFL Betting Pick:: Raiders 31 Browns 27

Week 5: Sunday, Oct. 7, at Los Angeles Chargers, 4:05 PM ET

The Raiders got swept by the Bolts last season, but I’m going with Carr and company to hold it down by the slimmest of margins in what I believe will be a regular season split against their longtime AFC West rivals. NFL Betting Pick:: Raiders 24 Chargers 23

Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 14, vs. Seattle Seahawks in London, 1 PM ET

Marshawn Lynch would love to get the win against his former team in this overseas affair, but Russell Wilson will be the best player on the pitch in this Week 6 affair! NFL Betting Pick:: Seahawks 28 Raiders 24 Are the Raiders a safe bet for the 2018 NFL season?

Week 9: Thursday, Nov. 1, at San Francisco 49ers, 8:20 PM ET

I’m expecting this all Bay area matchup to be a flat-out thriller, but I’m going with Jimmy G to get it done over Derek Carr just because the Niners are playing at home. NFL Betting Pick:: 49ers 31 Raiders 28

Week 10: Sunday, Nov. 11, vs. Los Angeles Chargers, 4:05 PM ET

Split, split, split. Joey Bosa and Philip Rivers star in this divisional showdown. NFL Betting Pick:: Chargers 30 Raiders 24

Week 11: Sunday, Nov. 18, at Arizona Cardinals, 4:05 PM ET

Like the Raiders, the Cardinals are a team in transition. While I’m expecting Arizona running back David Johnson to be the best player on the field in this one, it won’t be enough to lead Arizona to the win! NFL Betting Pick:: Raiders 27 Cardinals 21

Week 12: Sunday, Nov. 25, at Baltimore Ravens, 1 PM ET

The Ravens get the narrow home win in this one and Michael Crabtree scores at least one touchdown to stick it to his former team. NFL Betting Pick:: Ravens 24 Raiders 20

Week 13: Sunday, Dec. 2, vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 4:05 PM ET

Patrick Mahomes II gets his first taste of this long and heated rivalry, which the Raiders will win in a shootout because they’re playing at home as part of what looks like a regular season split to me. NFL Betting Pick: Raiders 28 Chiefs 24 The Raiders close out their 2018 schedule with a Week 16 home date against Denver and a Week 17 road date at Kansas City. I like the Silver and Black beat Denver by six and fall to Kansas City by a touchdown.
