After handing head coach Jon Gruden a whopping 10-year, $100 million dollar deal that gave him autonomous control over the franchise’s football operations, the Las Vegas Raiders floundered badly in Gruden’s first season after returning to Las Vegas last season. Now, with the team looking to improve in a big way after their uninspiring 4-12 mark from a year ago, all eyes will be on Gruden, quarterback Derek Carr and the rest of the revamped Raiders as they look to get back to respectability this coming season.
Can Gruden get his team back on track after making some highly questionable transactions that included trading away future Hall of Fame linebacker Khalil Mack? Will the addition of superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown lift Carr and company to new heights this coming season or are the Raiders looking at another lost season in Year 2 of their latest rebuild?
If you’re an NFL betting enthusiast that is planning on making some season-long futures odds wagers on the value-packed NFL Win Total Odds and you want to know just how many games the Raiders are going to win in 2019 then you’re in luck.
Thanks to the expert NFL predictions that you’re about to get on each and every game on Oakland’s upcoming 2019 docket, you’re going to have a great idea of just how many games the Raiders will win this coming season.
Oakland finished the 2018 regular season ranked a dismal 28th in scoring (18.1 ppg) while also ranking dead last in points allowed by giving up a whopping 29.2 points per contest defensively.
To address their offseason needs, the Raiders drafted Clemson defensive end Clelin Ferrell with the fourth overall pick, Alabama running back Josh Jacobs with the 24th overall pick and Mississippi State safety Jonathan Abram with the 27th overall pick. Las Vegas also signed former Chargers wide receiver Tyrell Williams, former Patriots tackle Trent Brown and former rams safety Lamarcus Joyner, among others, in free agency.
Las Vegas Raiders 2019 NFL Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Betting Prediction
Week 1 vs Denver
The Raiders and Broncs split their two regular season meetings in 2018 with the home team winning each time and I expect the same for these longtime division rivals in 2019. Win. 1-0.
Week 2 vs Kansas City
The Raiders were swept by the Chiefs a year ago and again, I’m expecting the same result from these hated AFC West rivals. Loss. 1-1.
Week 3 at Minnesota
Simply put, Minnesota’s powerful defense gets it done at home by shutting down Oakland’s uninspiring rushing attack and focusing on shutting down Derek Carr and Antonio Brown. Loss. 1-2.
Week 4 at Indianapolis
Andrew Luck and the Colts have some legitimate playoff hopes after winning 10 games a year ago as Luck returned to MVP-caliber form no less. Loss. 1–3.
Week 5 vs Chicago
The Raiders might be playing at home, but the Chicago Bears are the far better team on both sides of the ball, plus I’m expecting former Raiders star Khalil Mack to dish out some serious payback to Gruden and the franchise that foolishly let him walk a year ago. Loss. 1-4.
Week 6 BYE
Week 7 at Green Bay
The Packers win this game simply because they’re playing at home and have the best quarterback in this affair in the incomparable Aaron Rodgers. Loss. 1-5.
Week 8 at Houston
The Texans have the edge on both sides of the ball and at quarterback where Deshaun Watson is clearly the more coveted quarterback in this pairing. Houston wins going away. Loss. 1-6.
Week 9 vs Detroit
Now, back at home and sitting on one win, the Raiders take down Matt Stafford and the underachieving Lions in this week 9 inter-conference clash. Win. 2-6.
Week 10 vs LA Chargers
Oakland was held to 10 points in their Week 5 road loss against the Chargers last season while putting just six points on the board against the Bolts in their Week 10 home loss. Philip Rovers and company get the sweep again in 2019. Loss. 2-7.
Week 11 vs Cincinnati
I’m going with Carr over career underachiever Andy Dalton and a Cincinnati squad that I’m just not expecting a whole bunch out of in 2019. Win. 3-7.
Week 12 at NY Jets
Sam Darnold outdoes Derek Carr to help the rebuilding Jets take care of business at home in Week 12. Loss. 3-8.
Week 13 at Kansas City
Break out those brooms NFL betting buffs. Loss. 3-9.
Week 14 vs Tennessee
The Titans managed to win nine games in head coach Mike Vrabel’s first season a year ago and I believe the Titans could be a bit better in 2019. Still, this is a game that Oakland could win and I’m going to say they manage to get the super narrow home upset in this one. Win. 4-9.
Week 15 vs Jacksonville
Now that Jacksonville has a competent quarterback in Nick Foles, I believe they could challenge for a berth in the AFC playoffs. The Jags cruise in this one! Loss. 4-10.
Week 16 at LA Chargers
Break out the dustpan because the Bolts are taking out the trash! Loss. 4-11.
Week 17 at Denver
Denver extracts some revenge for their season-opening road loss against Oakland. Loss. 4-12.
There is absolutely no way that Oakland wins seven games in 2019 to top their win total odds. Make this NFL futures odds wager right now!
