Over in the NFC, there were many people picking the Green Bay Packers to be Super Bowl bound this season, but unless things change dramatically in the second half, this team is going to be lucky to even be in the playoffs. This was the Super Bowl match-up that many envisioned for this season, and while it looks like a longshot at the moment, there is no denying that this is still a mouth-watering match-up. The Patriots are in as a 6-point favorite, with the point total set at 57.

Why bet on the Green Bay Packers?

The biggest issue for the Packers this season has been consistency, as they have not yet been able to put together back to back wins. They are sitting at 3-3-1 on the season, quite some way below the expectations that we had for them. There are some concerns about the state of Aaron Rodgers knee, but despite those worries, he is still throwing for over 300 YPG.

The Packers consistently seem to find themselves in tight games, all too often coming out on the wrong end when all is said and done. The Patriots are coming into this one on a short week, but the reality here is that they did not have to expend a lot of energy to beat the Buffalo Bills 25-6 last Monday night. One thing to consider here is that they have a lot of their best offensive pieces listed as questionable for this game, but I would be surprised if any of them were forced to sit out.
