NFL Week 2 SU Picks

Philadelphia at Chicago NFL Winning Predictions

Written by on September 16, 2016

Everyone who follows football came into this season with some idea of how good, or bad, every single team is likely to be. One week of football is certainly not enough to change any of those opinions, and it’s probably going to take another couple of weeks before we can really start to get an idea of how things ae going to start playing out. Two teams that came into this season with some doubts about their ability to be in the playoffs at the end of the season are the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears. Both have had some down years, and both are looking to get back to some semblance of respectability. It’s fair to say that both of these teams had differing results in Week 1, and one of them has to be feeling a little bit better about their chances this year. The Eagles will head out on the road for a Monday night prime time game against the Bears, and the will be looking to take control of the NFC East with another win.

A Closer Look At The Eagles at Bears NFL Winning Predictions

Why bet on the Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles had a very positive performance in the opening week of the season, but before Philly fans get too carried away, they should remember that the win came against a very poor Cleveland Browns team. That said, rookie QB Carson Wentz certainly looked the part, going 22-37 for 278 yards and 2 TD passes. The Eagles also managed 133 yards on the ground, and looked very balanced on offense throughout. If there is a cause for concern from Week 1, it’s that the Eagles gave up 120 yards on the ground on just 21 attempts. The Bears didn’t offer much of a ground threat in their Week 1 game, but the Eagles are still going to have to find a way to tighten up in that department.

Why bet on the Chicago Bears

If the Bears can take anything from their 23-14 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 1, it’s that they were pretty competitive for three quarters. The Bears actually came out and took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, and were just a point back of the Texans heading into the final quarter of the game, but simply didn’t offer up enough on offense to find a way back once that lead got extended. That is something that is going to have to change against an Eagles team that looks as though it might be pretty good on offense this season.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

There isn’t much to go on with meetings between these two team, as they really don’t hook up that often. All we really have to go on is how they performed last week, and I believe that puts the advantage in the corner of the Philadelphia Eagles.
