Philadelphia Eagles 2018 NFL Betting Guide

After winning the first Super Bowl in franchise history last season, the Philadelphia Eagles look like a team that is going to have an excellent chance to defend their title with gifted star quarterback Carson Wentz back in the saddle following his late regular season ACL tear a year ago that cost him the entire postseason. Week 1: Sept. 6 vs. Atlanta Falcons, 8:20 PM ET.

The Eagles will kick off their 2018 campaign with a prime time rematch of their divisional round win against the Falcons and I expect them to get another big victory whether Carson Wentz is ready to start this opener or not. Jameis Winston will be out of the lineup for Tampa Bay as part of his league-imposed three-game suspension. I don’t think it would matter much if he did start for the Bucs. The Giants will definitely be a lot better than they were when they went 3-13 a year ago, but the G-Men has a ways to go before they get back to being at the level their NFC East rivals are now at. Week 10: Nov. 11 vs. Dallas Cowboys, 8:20 PM ET

The Eagles mauled the Cowboys in their 37-9 Week 11 road win before losing their meaningless regular season finale against the Boys 6-0. I’ve got the Eagles getting the super narrow road win against Drew Brees and the Super Bowl hopeful Saints, but I’m going to be honest for a minute and admit that New Orleans could very well come out on top at home in the Big Easy. I almost literally gave myself a headache trying to make this pick. Philly wins but less than a field goal.
