Written by on August 10, 2017

If you’re looking for NFL preseason predictions, then look no further football gridiron gaming aficionados! Thanks to some in-depth research, I’ve got a preseason prediction for every single team in the league as the 2017 scrimmage season gets set to get underway in just over 48 hours! In addition, you can find the current betting odds for Week 1 of the football preseason here.

NFL Preseason Predictions for Every Team – August 10th

AFC East

Miami Dolphins The Dolphins went 2-2 in Adam Gase’s first NFL preseason as a head coach a year ago but I’m thinking 1-3 is more like it as the foolish Fins host Atlanta and Baltimore and visit Philly and Minnesota. New England Patriots The Pats went 3-1 in the preseason a year ago after going 2-2 in each of their two previous preseason campaigns. I’m expecting another 2-2 scrimmage season out of New England as they beat Jacksonville and Detroit and fall to Houston and the New York Giants.

NFL Preseason Week 1 Winning SU Picks

Buffalo Bills With Minnesota, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Detroit on their NFL preseason schedule, I’m thinking 1-3 sounds about right for the rebuilding Bills. New York Jets The Jets went 1-3 in the preseason a year ago, but I’m thinking 0-4 sounds right for this season as the Jets host Tennessee and Philadelphia and visit Detroit and the Giants.

AFC West

Kansas City Chiefs The Chiefs went 2-2 last preseason and head coach Andy Reid is just 34-38 in his career in the NFL preseason. With that said, I’m thinking K.C. is looking at a 1-3 scrimmage record as they beat the Niners and lose to Cincy, Seattle and Tennessee. Oakland Raiders Oakland is looking at its third straight 1-3 preseason as they lose to Arizona, Dallas and Seattle while beating the rebuilding Rams. Denver Broncos Denver wins at Chicago and Frisco before losing to Green Bay in Week 3 and finishing with a win at home against Arizona. Los Angeles Chargers The relocated Bolts win all four preseason games at home against Seattle and New Orleans in Weeks 1 and 2 and at the Rams and Niners in Weeks 3 and 4.

AFC North

Baltimore Ravens Baltimore went 4-0 last preseason and 4-0 in 2014, but they also went 1-3 in 2015 and I’m thinking they’re looking at another 1-3 scrimmage season this year as they lost at home against Washington and Buffalo while winning in Miami and falling against the Saints in their scrimmage finale. Cleveland Browns The Browns went 0-4 last preseason, but not this time around as they win their opener against New Orleans and take out the Giants in Week 2 before falling at Tampa Bay and closing with a win in Chi-Town! What, what? Pittsburgh Steelers It’s clear that Mike Tomlin cares absolutely nothing about the preseason as Pittsburgh has not won more than one preseason game in each of the last four years. The Steelers win in Week 3 at home against Indy, but that’s it! Cincinnati Bengals Marvin Lewis is 29-28 in the preseason in his career and Cincy had their first losing preseason since 2011 last year. I’m thinking 2-2 sounds about right this preseason as the Bengals beat the Chiefs and Colts and fall to Tampa bay and Washington. Marvin Lewis is 29-28 in the NFL preseason in his career and Cincy had their first losing preseason since 2011 last year.

AFC South

Houston Texans The Texans are 8-4 under Bill O’Brien in the NFL preseason and I like them to go 2-2 this year while beating the Patriots and Cowboys and falling to Carolina and New Orleans. Jacksonville Jaguars Expect a loss in week 1 at New England, a win at home against Tampa bay and a pair of losses in Weeks 3 and 4 against Carolina and at Atlanta. Indianapolis Colts Indy wins at home in Week 1 against Detroit (barely) before losing their final three scrimmage games against Dallas, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. Tennessee Titans I like the Titans to go 3-1 this preseason with their only loss coming in Week 2 against Carolina.

NFC East

Washington Redskins Mr. ‘You like that?’ and company only lose one preseason game at home against Cincinnati in Week 3 to go 3-1 for the third straight year under Jay Gruden. Philadelphia Eagles The Birds went 4-0 last year in Doug Pederson’s first preseason and I’ve got them repeating that feat this year by beating Green Bay, Buffalo, Miami and the J-E-T-S! New York Giants The G-Men go 4-0 this preseason by beating the Steelers, Browns, Jets and Patriots. Dallas Cowboys Dallas beat Arizona in the Hall of Fame Game and they’ll win their first two ‘official’ preseason games against the Rams and Colts before falling to Oakland and Houston.

NFC West

Los Angeles Rams The rebuilding Rams win their meaningless Week 4 matchup against Green Bay, but that’s it! Arizona Cardinals Bruce Arians is 7-10 in the preseason. After losing their Hall of Fame matchup to Dallas last week, the Cards lose to Oakland in Week 1 before taking their final three preseason games against Chicago, Atlanta and Denver. Seattle Seahawks Pete Carroll apparently likes to win in the NFL preseason as he’s gone 18-10 over the last seven scrimmage campaigns. I like Seattle to lose their opener against the Chargers and in Week 2 against Minnesota, before beating K.C. and Oakland in their last two preseason games. San Francisco 49ers If the rebuilding Niners win a single preseason game, I’ll be stunned!

NFC North

Minnesota Vikings Mike Zimmer has recorded at least four preseason wins in three straight years. This year will make it four straight. Chicago Bears John Fox is 32-28 in the preseason, but Chicago is looking at a quartet of losses this year against Denver, Arizona, Tennessee and Cleveland! Green Bay Packers The Packers have gone 3-1 in two of Mike McCarthy’s last three scrimmage seasons and I think this year will be another 3-1 campaign. Detroit Lions Matthew Stafford and company go 2-2 this preseason while beating the Jets and Bills in Weeks 2 and 4.

NFC South

Carolina Panthers Carolina’s only preseason loss comes in Week 2 at Tennessee. New Orleans Saints The Saints split their four preseason games by losing to the Bolts and Texans in Weeks 2 and 3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Dirk Koetter went 2-2 in his first NFL preseason a year ago, but believe a 4-0 campaign could be in order for the Bucs this year. Atlanta Falcons The Falcons will smash Miami in South Beach in Week 1 and take out Jacksonville in their finale while losing to Pittsburgh and Arizona in Weeks 2 and 3.
