NFL Week 13 Must Bet Favorites

Written by on November 30, 2016

As we head into the final few weeks of the 2016 NFL season, it is starting to become clear which teams are likely headed to the playoffs. There is a little bit of separation starting to happen, and the next couple of weeks will probably see a few teams officially eliminated from playoff contention. It is at this point in the season that the teams on top want to start thinking about clinching, or perhaps even getting on a roll that will carry on over into the postseason. There are a few that are already on a great run, and some of them are going to make it into my Week 13 must bet favorites list.

A Closer Look At The NFL Week 13 Must Bet Favorites

Dallas Cowboys (-3.5) at Minnesota Vikings

There is no team hotter right now than the Dallas Cowboys, as they are heading into Week 13 on an impressive 10-game winning streak. The combination of Prescott and Elliott are proving that you can win with rookies, but this team is more than just those two. The Cowboys have a great balance on offense and defense, which is not something that can be said for the Vikings. Minnesota leans a little too heavily on their defense, and I think that hurts them this weekend.

Denver Broncos (-5) at Jacksonville Jaguars

Neither of these teams is designed to light things up offensively, and both have relied heavily on great play on the defensive side of the ball. The Broncos have had a lot more success with that game plan, especially since the Jaguars D is on the field more than they need to be given how poor they are on attack. Don’t see this as being a high scoring game, but I do see Denver winning by double digits.

San Francisco 49ers at Chicago Bears (-1.5)

This may be the least glamorous game on the schedule this weekend, as these two teams have only managed to combine for 3 wins all season long. In a game where you get two teams this evenly matched, it’s often a good idea to go with the home team. This is especially true here when you consider that the 49ers have yet to pick up a win on the road this season. The Chicago Bears may not be very good, but they are good enough to win and cover this small spread.

Buffalo Bills at Oakland Raiders (-3)

Every week, there seems to be a game on the board where it appears as though the bookies have decided to give us a little gift. I believe that this is that game in Week 13. The Oakland Raiders have surged to the top of the AFC West thanks to a 5-game winning streak, and while they have certainly been a better team on the road, they are still 2 games over .500 at home. The Bills come into this weekend with back to back wins under their belt, but I still can’t help but think that they don’t have the weapons to compete here.
