Week 13 of the National Football League will get started on Thursday, as the Seattle Seahawks take on the Dallas Cowboys. This is the first game of Week 13, as the calendar starts to turn the page to the final full month of the regular season.
The Seattle Seahawks come into the game with back to back losses. The Seahawks are 6-5 on the season, and 2nd in the NFC West. Seattle fell on Thanksgiving at home to the San Francisco 49ers. The Seahawks are fighting for one of the final wildcard spots in the NFC.
For the Dallas Cowboys, they are 8-3 on the season. That record is tied for the second best record in the NFC, with the Lions and 49ers. The Philadelphia Eagles are the only team better than them right now. The Cowboys are currently in line for the top wildcard spot, which would start on the road at the worst divisional winner. Dallas has won three straight games, including a Thanksgiving Day blowout over Washington.
The Dallas Cowboys are -9 over the Seattle Seahawks for this Thursday Night Football game for Week 13. Total sits at 46.5.

Thanksgiving Game
For the Dallas Cowboys, in the win over the Commanders on Thanksgiving Day, DaRon Bland was the big name, as he became the first player in NFL History to record five pick-sixes in one season. On the offensive side, the Cowboys saw Dak Prescott toss four touchdowns, with running back Tony Pollard doing his thing with 79 yards and a score. Brandin Cooks was the top target for Prescott, as he caught four passes for 72 yards and a touchdown.
For the Seattle Seahawks, they went to the locker room trailing 24-3, and never could come back. The Seahawks could not slow down Christian McCaffrey, as he finished the game with 19 carries, 114 yards and two touchdowns. Seattle’s Geno Smith did not throw a touchdown in the game. The Seahawks were without their top running back in Kenneth Walker III.
Cowboys Been Strong All Season
The Dallas Cowboys have had a strong season all year. The Cowboys, of course, lost at the Arizona Cardinals, but their other two losses were on the road at the 49ers and Eagles. The Cowboys at home have been really good, with 30+ points per game, including three straight with 40+. The Cowboys on the season are scoring 31.5 points per game, which is the tops in all of the NFL.
Dak Prescott is helping the Cowboys passing offense throw for 262.4 yards per game, and rush for more than 115 per game. Tony Pollard has rushed 160 times this season, for nearly 700 yards and four touchdowns. Rico Dowdle has taken carries as well for the Cowboys, with a touchdown on the season.
The receiving core is led by CeeDee Lamb, who is now over 1,000 yards and six touchdowns. Brandin Cooks is next with four touchdowns, as well as Jake Ferguson. The Cowboys have been incredibly balanced all season with several guys getting into the end zone this season.
Defense Showing Out for Dallas
The Cowboys defense has also been solid, allowing just 16.8 points per game as well. Bland leads the defense, but this is a defensive team that has dudes all over the field. Micah Parsons leads the team with 11.5 sacks, while the Cowboys as a team have 37. Dallas has 12 interceptions on the season, with Bland leading with 7, while forcing five fumbles lost in 2023.
Dallas Home Sweet Home
The Dallas Cowboys are playing their second of three straight home games. The Cowboys are hosting Philadelphia on December 10th, before back to back road games at the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins. The final games of the season for Dallas are at home against the Lions, and on the road at the Commanders.
Seattle Seeking Much Needed Bounce Back
The Seattle Seahawks had tied San Francisco at the top of the NFC West, but with back to back losses, now they need to be more concerned with holding off Los Angeles than catching San Francisco. The loss on Thanksgiving was a pretty ugly one of the Seahawks.
The season for Geno Smith has been one that’s been frustrating. Smith has just 12 touchdown passes in 11 games, with 8 interceptions on the season. Smith has found DK Metcalf more than any other receiver. Metcalf leads the team with 678 yards and has three touchdowns. Tyler Lockett leads the team with four touchdowns.
The Seahawks hope to get Kenneth Walker III back for this game. The former Michigan State running back has 613 yards on the ground and six touchdowns. The only other Seahawks player to score a rushing touchdown this season is Jake Bobo, in his only carry of the 2023 season.
Carroll’s Defense Wants to Score
Seattle has 32 sacks on the season. Linebacker Boye Mafe has 7 to lead the team. Darrell Taylor and Jordyn Brooks both have 3.5 on the season. Brooks, Devon Witherspoon and Tre Brown all have touchdowns on interceptions this season. On the season, the Seahawks have 8 interceptions and 7 forced fumbles.
What’s Next for Seahawks?
Seattle has a tough go of it, with back to back games at the Cowboys and 49ers, before a trip home to host Philadelphia. The final three games of the season for Seattle are at Tennessee, with Pittsburgh and then at the Arizona Cardinals.
Dallas Smacks Seattle
The Dallas Cowboys are at home, and they seem to be nearly impossible to beat at home. Look for Dallas to stay hot here. Prescott and his arm, Pollard and his legs, and the defense getting after Smith and Seattle. When we bet this game, we are taking the Dallas Cowboys -6.5 over Seattle.
