Tennessee at Miami Betting Pick & Prediction

Written by on October 7, 2016

The Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans will both go all-out for the win in a Week 5 matchup I’m calling ‘The Desperation Bowl’ as both AFC playoff hopefuls (yeah right) look to record just their second win of the regular season. Now, let’s find out which one of these teams is offering the most value in the NFL odds.

Here’s a Sneak Peek at the Tennessee at Miami Betting Pick, Prediction & TV Info

When: Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET Where: Hard Rock Stadium TV: CBS Radio: Tennessee / Miami Live Stream: NFL Live NFL Odds: Miami Dolphins -3.5 Over/Under: 44.5

Why Bet The Tennessee Titans?

Because the Titans have a powerful rushing attack and both, the better quarterback and head coach in this matchup! Tennessee (1-3 SU, 1-3 ATS) has fought really hard but has lost two straight games by a touchdown including their 27-20 Week 4 loss against AFC South division rival Houston while failing to cover the NFL ATS betting line as a 3.5-point road dog. The Titans offense is averaging a NFL worst 15.5 points per game as second-year quarterback Marcus Mariota has completed just 58.8 percent of his passes with four touchdowns, but a costly five interceptions. Veteran running back DeMarco Murray leads the Titans in rushing with 340 yards and three touchdowns and has added 19 receptions for another two scores. The good news is that Tennessee s playing excellent defense in limiting their opponents to just 21.0 points per game to rank 15th in points allowed.

Why Bet The Miami Dolphins?

Because the Fins are playing at home and have a ton of desperation. Miami (1-3 SU, 1-3 ATS) got man-handled in their humbling 22-7 Week 4 loss against Cincinnati on Thursday night while never coming close to covering the spread as a 7.5- point underdog. The Dolphins are averaging a discouraging 17.8 points per game to rank 28th in scoring as underachieving quarterback Ryan Tannehill has completed 63.8 percent of his passes with six touchdowns, but five costly interceptions while getting sacked 11 times. Running back Jay Ajayi leads Miami in rushing with a pitiful 75 yards while Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry has recorded a team-high 31 catches. Defensively, Miami is ranked 17th in points allowed (22.2 ppg) and has recorded a miniscule one interceptions, six fumble recoveries and 10 sacks.

My Expert Prediction and Pick

The Mimi Dolphins might be favored in this Week 5 matchup and they might also be playing at home, but they’re not my pick to win this game or cover the NFL betting line. While Tennessee is just 5-15- 1 ATS in their last 21 road games and 1-6- 1 ATS following a game that they covered the point spread, Miami is an awful 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games and a dismal 2-10 ATS in their last 12 home games. With the underdog in this series going 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings, I like Tennessee to cover the spread by winning outright! My Pick: Tennessee 30 Miami 21
