Now, that you’re licking your chops in anticipation, let’s get started in the Windy City where I’m thinking the outcome that is going to take place is as close to a virtual lock as it gets, just as the NFL Week 7 betting odds indicate.

NFL Week 7 Betting Odds & Top Picks to Place a Parlay Ticket

Carolina Panthers (4-2) at Chicago Bears (2-4)

  • When: Sunday, October 22, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: Soldier Field, Chicago, Illinois
  • NFL Week 7 Betting Odds: Carolina -3
  • Total: 40.5
The Carolina Panthers and polarizing quarterback Cam Newton saw their modest two-game winning streak come to a halt by falling to surprising Philly 28-23 at home on Thursday night, but the Panthers are by far, a much better team than Chicago in their Week 7 matchup against the Bears and for me, that makes them a virtual lock to cover the spread as a 3-point road favorite in this matchup. While I do believe Chicago got it right by naming first-round draft pick Mitchell Trubisky as their new starting quarterback, that also means the Bears can expect some struggles typically associated with rookie quarterbacks. Yes, Chicago and Trubisky put up a very good effort in their 20-17 Week 6 home loss to Minnesota this past weekend, but Chicago is going down and going down hard against Carolina in this one. The Panthers are a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games, 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five road dates against the Bears and that will be enough to get past a Chicago team that has compiled a stellar 7-1 ATS mark in their last eight home games. Pick: Carolina -3

New Orleans Saints (3-2) at Green Bay Packers (4-2)

  • When: Sunday, October 22, 2017at 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin
  • NFL Week 7 Betting Odds: New Orleans -5.5
  • Total: 47.5
Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints are on a red-hot roll and have won three straight coming into their Week 7 matchup against Green Bay. More importantly, the Saints and are catching the Packers at a perfect time, seeing as how Pro Bowl quarterback Aaron Rodgers is out of the lineup with a broken collarbone he suffered last weekend. The Saints exploded on Detroit for 52 points last weekend and are my pick to get the road win and ATS cover against a Packers team that will have to find a new identity and new ways of winning without their superstar signal-caller. The favorite in this series 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings, but more importantly, New Orleans has an improved defense that features a pair of outstanding young cornerbacks and a future Pro Bowler in 2017 first round pick, Marshon Lattimore. New Orleans is an unblemished 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games against a team with a winning home record, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following an ATS win and a consistent 11-2 ATS in their last 13 road games. Green Bay has gone 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight-up loss and will almost certainly struggle in their first game with Aaron Rodgers under center. Back the Saints to win by a touchdown at the very least! Pick: New Orleans -5.5

Atlanta Falcons (3-2) at New England Patriots (4-2)

  • When: Sunday, October 22, 2017, 8:30 PM ET
  • Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts
  • NFL Week 7 Betting Odds: New England -3.5
  • Total: 55
After watching the disgraceful performance by the Atlanta Falcons in their 20-17 Week 6 loss to the mediocre Miami Dolphins, let me just say that I wouldn’t bet on Atlanta in this Super Bowl rematch with my worst enemy’s money! Despite leading 17-0 at the half, the Falcons somehow managed to find a way to never score in the second half against a Miami team that has been difficult to watch all season long. While there’s no doubt that NFL and game officials screwed the New York Jets over big-time in their heartbreaking 24-17 home loss against Tom Brady and the Pats on Sunday, I am going to advise you to back the Patriots to get the outright home win and ATS cover against an Atlanta team that is seriously lacking in the ‘heart’ department! The Falcons are 2-4 ATS in their last six games while New England has gone 18-7 ATS in their L/25 games. Expect another win by the Pats over the Falcons after they crushed their NFC counterparts’ Super Bowl hopes earlier this year! Pick: New England -3.5

Denver Broncos (3-2) at Los Angeles Chargers (2-4)

  • When: Sunday, October 22, 2017, 4:25 PM ET
  • Where: StubHub Center, Carson, California
  • NFL Week 7 Betting Odds: Chargers -1.5
  • Total: 41.5
After their first couple of games this season, the Denver Broncos had the look of a legitimate Super Bowl contender. However, Trevor Siemian and company have looked really mediocre by losing two of their last three games including their awful 23-10 loss to the previously winless New York Giants on Sunday night. Conversely, Philip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers have looked a lot better the last three weeks, starting with their hard-fought 26-24 home loss to Philadelphia in Week 4. The Bolts squeaked past the Giants 27-22 in Week 5 and got past the AFC West division rival Raiders 17-16 on Sunday. While a slight majority of public bettors are backing the Broncos to get the ATS cover in this contest, I like Rivers and company to cover the chalk by winning outright in a knock-down, drag-out fight to the finish. Denver has gone 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games while Los Angeles has gone a polar opposite 5-2 ATS in their last seven games in the month of October. The gun-slinging Rivers leads L.A. to the narrow home win over the suddenly pedestrian Broncos. Pick: Chargers -1.5
