NFL Preseason Odds Week 2 Vikings vs. Seahawks
Written by Jordan Walters on August 16, 2017
Every team in the NFL preseason lives or dies on the performance of their QB, and since only a few teams can claim to have an elite starter, it quickly becomes obvious that those will be the teams who rise to the top. The Minnesota Vikings thought they had their guy when they drafted Teddy Bridgewater, but a season long injury last season has derailed his career, and there are rumors that he could be on the way out.
Sam Bradford looks as though he will be the man to lead the Vikings into the new season, and while he did have a solid season as their starter last year, there are doubts as to whether he can carry this group on his shoulders.
Nonetheless, there are no such issues over in Seattle, as Russell Wilson has already proven his worth as a starter. He struggled for portions of last season, but it was revealed that he was carrying a knee injury that took away the scrambling part of his game.
He will be ready to go this year, and the Seahawks will once again be a Super Bowl betting favorite. Neither of these QB’s is likely to see much action when the Vikings and Bills hook up in Seattle in Week 2 of the preseason.
On the other hand, Seattle have had a great defense for years now, but they can also score on offense. They went 10-8 O/U last season, taking their 3-year record to 29-26. They were 15-12 as the home team, and since they were the favorite in all those games, their record is the same when favored at home.
