NFL Week 1 Odds Overview & Predictions for Each Game
Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots
When: Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 8:30 PM ET Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts TV: NBC NFL Week 1 Odds: New England -8 / Total: 48 Analysis: After opening up as a 7-point home favorite, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are now 8-point home faves while the total is down to 48 after opening at 50. At any rate, I like the Chiefs to cover the spread because of their elite defense and the fact that Alex Smith doesn’t turn the ball over.NFL 2017 Projected Win Totals and Super Bowl Bets
New York Jets at Buffalo Bills
When: Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET Where: New Era Field, Orchard Park, New York TV: CBS NFL Week 1 Odds: Buffalo Bills -8.5 / Total: 41 Analysis: The line on this one has changed a lot since Buffalo opened as a 6-point home favorite and the total sat at 42.5 points. Buffalo is now a surprising 8.5-point home fave despite trading away two of their best players in a complete fire sale while the total has dropped to 41. I personally like the New York Jets to get the outright road win because of their aggressive defense and the fact that the Bills are playing for next season and beyond. Pick: New York Jets +8.5Atlanta Falcons at Chicago Bears
When: Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET Where: Soldier Field, Chicago, Illinois TV: FOX NFL Week 1 Odds: Atlanta -7 / Total: 51 Analysis: The Atlanta Falcons are now 7-point road faves after opening as a 6.5-point favorite while the total has remained the same at 50.5 points that it opened at. Atlanta was a ‘hot mess’ in the preseason, but I expect them to get their high-scoring ways together in a hurry in this Week 1 opener. Pick: Atlanta Falcons -7Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals
When: 1:00 PM ET, Sunday, September 10, 2017 Where: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio TV: CBS NFL Week 1 Odds: Cincinnati -2.5 / Total: 43 Analysis: The Cincinnati Bengals opened as a 1.5-point home fave but are now up to 2.5-point favorites while the total has remained at the same 43 points it opened at. With Joe Flacco missing the entire preseason but set to make the start in this regular season opener, I’m fully expecting Andy Dalton and company to get the easy win over the rusty Flacco and offensively-challenged Ravens! Pick: Cincinnati Bengals -2.5Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns
When: Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET Where: FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio TV: CBS NFL Week 1 Odds: Pittsburgh -9 / Total: 47
