Can the Kansas City chiefs and their collection of Pro Bowl defensive stars give Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots a tough way to go in their Week 1 regular season opener? Do you want to know if the Buffalo Bills can cover the spread as home favorites the NFL Week 1 odds despite jettisoning two of the best players on their roster for not much more than mere draft picks? NFL Week 1 Odds Overview & Predictions for Each Game

Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots

When: Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 8:30 PM ET Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts TV: NBC NFL Week 1 Odds: New England -8 / Total: 48 Analysis: After opening up as a 7-point home favorite, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are now 8-point home faves while the total is down to 48 after opening at 50. At any rate, I like the Chiefs to cover the spread because of their elite defense and the fact that Alex Smith doesn’t turn the ball over.

NFL 2017 Projected Win Totals and Super Bowl Bets

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills

When: Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET Where: New Era Field, Orchard Park, New York TV: CBS NFL Week 1 Odds: Buffalo Bills -8.5 / Total: 41 Analysis: The line on this one has changed a lot since Buffalo opened as a 6-point home favorite and the total sat at 42.5 points. Buffalo is now a surprising 8.5-point home fave despite trading away two of their best players in a complete fire sale while the total has dropped to 41. I personally like the New York Jets to get the outright road win because of their aggressive defense and the fact that the Bills are playing for next season and beyond. Pick: New York Jets +8.5

Atlanta Falcons at Chicago Bears

When: Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET Where: Soldier Field, Chicago, Illinois TV: FOX NFL Week 1 Odds: Atlanta -7 / Total: 51 Analysis: The Atlanta Falcons are now 7-point road faves after opening as a 6.5-point favorite while the total has remained the same at 50.5 points that it opened at. Atlanta was a ‘hot mess’ in the preseason, but I expect them to get their high-scoring ways together in a hurry in this Week 1 opener. Pick: Atlanta Falcons -7

Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals

When: 1:00 PM ET, Sunday, September 10, 2017 Where: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio TV: CBS NFL Week 1 Odds: Cincinnati -2.5 / Total: 43 Analysis: The Cincinnati Bengals opened as a 1.5-point home fave but are now up to 2.5-point favorites while the total has remained at the same 43 points it opened at. With Joe Flacco missing the entire preseason but set to make the start in this regular season opener, I’m fully expecting Andy Dalton and company to get the easy win over the rusty Flacco and offensively-challenged Ravens! Pick: Cincinnati Bengals -2.5

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns

When: Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET Where: FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio TV: CBS NFL Week 1 Odds: Pittsburgh -9 / Total: 47 NFL Week 1 Odds: Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers are the same 9-point favorites they opened as while the total has dropped a bit from 47.5 to 47. Analysis: Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers are the same 9-point favorites they opened as while the total has dropped a bit from 47.5 to 47. Maybe it’s me, but I suddenly like the Cleveland Browns to cover the spread in a closer-than-expected home loss after watching the way they played in the scrimmage season. Pick: Cleveland Browns +9

Arizona Cardinals at Detroit Lions

When: Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET Where: Ford Field, Detroit, Michigan TV: FOX NFL Week 1 Odds: Arizona -1 / Total: 48 Analysis: The odds on this matchup have seen some dramatic movement with Matthew Stafford and Detroit opening as a 2.5-point home favorite but now being a 1-point home dog. The total is sitting at 48 after opening at 49. I personally like Carson Palmer and the visiting Cardinals to get the outright road win in a thriller over a Lions team that keeps underachieving at the worst time possible. Pick: Arizona Cardinals -1

Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans

When: Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET Where: NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas TV: CBS NFL Week 1 Odds: Houston -5.5 / Total: 40 Analysis: The Houston Texans are now 5.5-point home faves after opening as a 4.5-point favorite. The total is down two points to 40 after opening at 42. No matter the numbers, the Houston Texans will roll behind new starting quarterback Tom Savage who is playing this season to be someone else’s starter in the very near future, like 2018. Pick: Houston Texans -5.5

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Miami Dolphins

When: Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET Where: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida TV: FOX NFL Week 1 Odds: Tampa Bay -2.5 / Total: 45.5 Analysis: This line has moved dramatically after Miami opened as a 2.5-point home fave. However, after losing starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill to an ACL, the Dolphins went out and overpaid for Jay ‘Cry-Baby’ Cutler, which is why Miami is now 2.5-point home underdogs. The total has also dropped two points after opening at 47.5. No matter the numbers, I’m going with Jameis Winston to outplay Cutler every day of the week and you should too. Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -2.5
