When it comes to Week 10 of the 2018 NFL regular season, there are a handful of really intriguing matchups taking place that look like must-see matchups just waiting to happen.
The Chicago Bears host the Detroit Lions in an NFC North divisional battle featuring a pair of first-time head coaches. The Tennessee Titans host the New England Patriots in a meeting of 2017 playoff participants and the Los Angeles Rams host the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC West divisional showdown that looks like another knock-down, drag-out pairing just waiting to happen.
However, if it’s betting value that you’re looking for on the Week 10 docket, then none of the aforementioned matchups is offering the chance to cash in with a winning wager like the trio of matchups I’m highlighting in my Must Bet Games of Week 10.
If it’s NFL odds value you’re looking for, then look no further, I’ve got you covered.

Carolina Panthers at Pittsburgh Steelers (-6.5)
The Pittsburgh Steelers may be playing at home in this Week 10 Inter-Conference clash, but I don’t think they should be a near, touchdown favorite over Carolina Panthers team that is just as good as they are on paper and eerily identical in many ways. While Pittsburgh’s 13-3 mark was two games better than Carolina’s record in 2017, the Panthers were rock-solid in finishing 12th in scoring (22.7 ppg) and 11th in points allowed (20.4 ppg). Yes, the Steelers were a bit better on both sides of the ball in ranking eighth in scoring (25.4 ppg) and seventh in points allowed (19.2 ppg), but let’s not forget, they played two games against the awful Cleveland Browns last season and another two against a Cincinnati Bengals team that underachieved in a big way while Carolina played a quartet of games against two teams in their own division (Atlanta and New Orleans) that both made the playoffs like the Panthers last season. Simply put, this game has the look and feel of a field goal finish at best, which makes the Panthers the easy pick to cover the chalk as a near touchdown road dog.

Atlanta Falcons at Cleveland Browns (+3)
I absolutely love the moves the Cleveland Browns made this offseason by adding veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor, wide receiver Jarvis Landry and running back Carlos Hyde while drafting future starting quarterback Baker Mayfield with the No. 1 overall pick, cornerback Denzel Ward with the fourth overall pick and running back Nick Chubb in the second round.
Having said that, I don’t think the Browns are going to be able to keep up with an Atlanta Falcons team that should have some legitimate Super Bowl hopes after going 10-6 last season and ranking a respectable 15th in scoring (22.1 ppg) and eye-opening eighth in points allowed (19.7 ppg). I’m expecting the Falcons to improve their offense this coming season after leading the NFL in scoring in 2016 under now, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan and transitioning last year to former USC head coach Steve Sarkisian and struggling in his debut as an NFL coordinator. The Falcons should be just as good as they were a year ago on defense and look like the pick to win this road date by a half-dozen points at the very least. This is a game the Falcons know they can not afford to lose if they want to reach the playoffs again in 2018 – and I believe they’ll handle their business accordingly.
NFL Week 10 Betting Pick: Atlanta -3
Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles (-5.5)
The defending Super Bowl champion Eagles smacked the Cowboys senseless in their 37-9 Week 11 road win a year ago and I believe they’re the easy pick to beat the Boys again in this Week 10 home date, seeing as how they are clearly the superior on both sides of the ball.
Dallas was a middle-of-the-pack kind of team on both sides of the ball in finishing the 2017 campaign ranked 14th in scoring (22.1 ppg) and 13th in points allowed (20.8 ppg), while the Eagles were about as elite as it gets in ranking third in scoring (28.6 ppg) and fourth in points allowed (18.4 ppg).
More importantly, Philly made some roster-improving moves tis offseason while Dallas didn’t do nearly as much to upgrade their roster. The Eagles look like they’re going to be quite capable of making a serious run at defending their Super Bowl title and I expect them to be just as hungry in 2018 as they were a year ago. Philly wins this one by a touchdown at the very least!
NFL Week 10 Betting Pick: Philadelphia -5.5
