Week 11 NFL Free Picks: Chicago At New York

Written by on November 17, 2016

Eli Manning and the streaking New York Giants will look to extend their winning ways when they host Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears in a Week 11 matchup that I believe is offering gridiron gaming aficionados a bunch of value. Now, let’s find out where that value lies.

Here’s A Closer Look At The Week 11 NFL Free Picks: Chicago Bears At New York Giants

When: Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET Where: MetLife Stadium TV: FOX Live Stream: FOX Sports GO NFL Odds: New York Giants -7 / Over/Under: 47.5

New York Giants

The Giants have won four straight as they try to keep pace with incendiary Dallas in the competitive NFC East and come into this contest off a hard-fought 21-20 win over Cincinnati on Monday night. While the Giants offense is averaging just 20.2 points per game to rank an uninspiring 24th in scoring, New York’s defense has been one of the best in the league this season as they’ve limited their opponents to just 20.4 points per game to rank 11th in points allowed. This season, two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback Eli Manning is completing 64.3 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns, but 10 costly interceptions. Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham has caught a team-high 54 passes with six TD grabs while rookie wideout Sterling Shepard has added 39 receptions for four scores. Unfortunately, New York’s rushing attack has been lacking in a big way with veteran running back Rashad Jennings leading the team with just 255 yards and one score. Again however, New York Giants’ defense has shown up all season long by recording nine interceptions, six fumble recoveries and 14 sacks to date.

Chicago Bears

The Bears (2-7) have lost four of their last five games and comes into this contest off a dismal 36-10 blowout loss against Tampa Bay last weekend. The Bears have all kinds of problems this season as they rank a pitiful 31st in scoring at 15.7 points per game while allowing 23.9 points per game defensively to rank to rank 19th in points allowed. Veteran quarterback Jay Cutler has been as mediocre as ever in completing just 59.8 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and four interceptions. Cutler has been sacked a whopping 13 times and will be without leading receiver Alshon Jeffery who was suspended this week for the next four games for PED use.

Expert Prediction and Pick

Let me get right to the point by saying that the New York Giants are the easy pick to bet down the Chicago Bears and cover the NFL betting line with just a bit of room to spare. The G-Men have gone 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games and an encouraging 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine game following an SU win. Chicago’s history of recent futility is readily apparent with the Bears going 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games and a winless 0-5 ATS in their last five road games. Outside of their glaring ATS stats, the Bears are a complete mess in need of an overhaul from top to bottom. Jay Cutler is likely playing his final few games in the Windy City and he looks as uninterested as ever. The Bears lost their top receiving threat for four games and apparently, they can’t stop running water defensively. I’m fully expecting Eli Manning to hook up early and often with Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard while leading New York to the win and narrow ATS cover!
