NFL Week 12 Must Bet Games – 2018 Season

Written by on July 25, 2018

If you’re looking for some must-see matchups when it comes to NFL Week 12 of the 2018 regular season, then you’re probably going to want to see the Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers on the road against their NFC North division rivals, the Minnesota Vikings. You’ll almost certainly want to see how things play out when the Cincinnati Bengals host the revamped Cleveland Browns in one of their two annual AFC North division matchups and you definitely won’t want to miss Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers hosting Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. However, if it’s NFL betting value that you’re looking for, then I’ve got three games that I believe are offering the best chance for NFL betting enthusiasts everywhere to cash in with a potentially winning wager. With NFL training camps getting underway this week and the start of the preseason just a couple of weeks away, let’s get started.

NFL Week 12 Must Bet Games – 2018 Season

Jacksonville Jaguars at Buffalo Bills (+4.5)

The Jacksonville Jaguars are looking pretty damned scary heading into 2018. Not only did the Jags go 10-6 last season, but more importantly they reached the AFC Championship game where they gave the New England Patriots all they could handle before fading late. The Jags have a powerful defense that ranked a stellar fifth in scoring (26.1 ppg) and even more impressive second in points allowed (16.8 ppg). Jacksonville led the NFL in rushing attempts (527) and rushing yards per game (141.4) behind powerful rookie running back Leonard Fournette and they added to their offensive line by signing veteran Andrew Norwell. The Buffalo Bills also had a fine season a year ago by going 9-7 to reach the postseason for the first time in 17 years under first-year head coach Sean McDermott. The bad news for the Bills, however, is that they may have blown their 2018 campaign before it ever got started, seeing as how they were determined to part ways with veteran signal-caller Tyrod Taylor this offseason. Now the Bills are turning to veteran backup A.J. McCarron and second-year signal-caller Nathan Peterman even though both players are largely untested. The Bills also drafted former Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen with the seventh overall pick in the NFL Draft and that decision may prove to be either, a stroke of genius, or one that costs them in the long run. Right now, the Jags are by far, the better and more complete team in this matchup and I expect their defense to harass whoever starts for the Bills at quarterback. Jacksonville will win this one by a touchdown despite being on the road because they have a tried and tested strategy of power rushing and excellent defense! Buffalo as too many questions marks right now. NFL Week 12 Betting Pick: Jacksonville -4.5

Miami Dolphins at Indianapolis Colts (-2.5)

Starting quarterbacks Ryan Tannehill and Andrew Luck will both be back on the field for the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts respectively in 2018 after both missed the entire 2017 campaign for their AFC playoff hopeful franchises a year ago. Having said that, I’m not expecting either, Miami or Indianapolis to contend for a playoff berth with both teams having far too many questions marks than actual answers! Miami ranked a dismal 29th in points allowed last season (24.6 ppg) while Indianapolis was even worse in finishing 30th in points allowed (25.2 ppg). The Dolphins shouldn't be one of your NFL Week 12 picks. With that said, NFL betting enthusiasts should simply expect there to be a ton of points scored in this Week 12 conference clash. I’m going with the Colts to get the win as Luck out-duels Tannehill in a shootout. NFL Week 12 Betting Pick: Indianapolis -2.5

San Francisco 49ers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1)

I’m going to get right to the point with my pick on this Week 12 battle of NFC playoff hopefuls. The San Francisco 49ers have an old-school GM that apparently knows how to build a team and they’ve got a widely-respected head coach, even though both guys are only heading into their respective second seasons. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have some mystifying front office personnel and a lame-duck head coach that often appeared overmatched a year ago. The Niners also have a quarterback (Jimmy Garoppolo) that clearly knows how to help his team win games while the Buccaneers have a starting quarterback (Jameis Winston) that apparently can’t stay out of off-field trouble for many that two or three years at a time. One team is all about finding ways to win and has an extremely bright future while the other finds new ways to lose games they probably shouldn’t. Despite being on the road, the San Francisco 49ers are the pick to get the outright win and cover the chalk as they take another big step in 2018 toward becoming a playoff contender. NFL Week 12 Betting Pick: San Francisco -1
