Here’s A Closer Look At The Week 13 NFL Online Betting Lines: Cowboys At Vikings

When: Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 8:25 PM ET Where: U.S. Bank Stadium TV: NBC Live Stream: NBC Sports Live NFL Odds: Minnesota Vikings +3.5 / Over/Under: 43.5

Why Bet The Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys (10-1 SU, 9-1-1 ATS) have won an insane 10 straight games and comes into this Week 13 showdown off of a 31-26 win over Washington despite narrowly failing to cover the NFL betting line as a 5.5-point favorite. For the season, outstanding rookie signal-caller Dak Prescott is completing a scorching 67.9 percent of his passes for 2,835 yards with18 touchdown passes and just two interceptions. The Cowboys are ranked fourth in total offense and a stellar third in scoring at 28.7 points per game. Veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley and perennial Pro Bowl tight end Jason Witten have combined for 1,200 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott leads the NFL in rushing with 1,199 yards and 11 touchdowns. Defensively, Dallas is allowing limiting the opposition to just 19.3 points per game to rank an impressive seventh in points allowed. Veteran linebacker Sean Lee leads the Dallas Cowboys with 105 tackles while Tyrone Crawford has recorded a team-high 3.5 sacks and defensive back Barry Church, a team-high two interceptions.

Why Bet The Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings (6-5 SU, 6-5 ATS) have lost five of their last six games and were on the wrong end of a heartbreaking 16-13 loss against NFC North rival Detroit last weekend while failing to cover the spread as a 2-point underdog. The good news is that Minnesota has won six of their last seven home games. On the season, veteran quarterback Sam Bradford is completing a blistering 71.3 percent of his passes for 2,415 yards with 12 touchdowns and three interceptions, but Minnesota is ranked dead last in total offense and an uninspiring 24th in scoring (19.8 ppg). No. 1 wide receiver Stefon Diggs and sure-handed fellow wideout Adam Thielen have combined for 1,318 receiving yards and five touchdowns but Minnesota’s rushing attack is severely lacking with running back Jerick McKinnon rushing for a team-high 316 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Minnesota has been mostly phenomenal in limiting the opposition to just 17.4 points per game to rank a stellar second in points allowed. Harrison Smith leads the Vikings with a team-high 79 tackles while Linval Joseph has racked up a team-high three sacks and Andrew Sendejo, two interceptions.

Expert ATS Pick & Final Score Prediction

I liked the way the Vikings were playing when they got off to their 5-0 start, but ever since veteran offensive coordinator Norv Turner decided to resign shortly thereafter, Minnesota has looked absolutely clueless on offense. With both teams in this Week 13 matchup owning solid defenses, I believe the outcome of this matchup will come down to the team with the better offense – and that is clearly the far more explosive Cowboys. While the Vikings have gone 20-6 ATS in their last 26 home games and 37-16 ATS in their last 53 games overall, the Cowboys are a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five road games and 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall. While the Cowboys have gone 0-6 ATS in their last six road dates against the Vikings and 1-8 ATS in their last nine meetings against Minnesota overall, none of those defeats came with Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott on the Cowboys’ roster. While I’m not real fond of the high point spread in this contest and I believe the Vikings are going to come with one of the best efforts this season, I just can’t go against the ‘Boys right now with the way they are playing on both sides of the ball. Minnesota’s offensive struggles, combined with Dallas’ now, well-balanced offense, make the Cowboys the pick to win and cash in!

My Pick: Dallas 27 Minnesota 21
