NFL Week 14 Parlay Betting Picks

Written by on December 3, 2019

Another week, another record for Patrick Mahomes in Week 13. The reigning NFL MVP threw his 70th career touchdown pass in the Chiefs’ 40-9 win over Oakland. Mahomes reached 70 career touchdown passes in his 27th career game, surpassing Pro Football Hall of Famer Dan Marino (29 games) as the fastest player to reach 70 career touchdown passes in NFL history. Here are two NFL Week 14 games we would parlay together with Mybookie NFL odds.

2019 NFL Week 14 Parlay Betting Picks

Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers

The Packers can’t afford to lose this as they chase the NFC North title and a Top 2 seed in the NFC playoffs. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers passed for four touchdowns and zero interceptions for a 125.4 passer rating in the Packers’ 31-13 win at the New York Giants on Sunday.

Rodgers has 23 career games with at least four touchdown passes, tied with Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre (23 games) for the fourth-most such games in NFL history. Only Peyton Manning (35 games), Drew Brees (34) and Tom Brady (29) have more.

Davante Adams caught 6 passes for 64 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers’ Week 13 win over the Giants. Both of Adams’ touchdowns — it was his first multi-TD game since Week 10 last season — came in the red zone, giving him 29 red-zone TDs since the start of the 2016 season. That’s the most in the NFL in that span (New Orleans’ Michael Thomas is second with 25). Adams now has three touchdowns in his last two games after his prolonged scoreless drought to start the season. He has scored or surpassed 100 yards in 5-of-8 games this season.

Aaron Jones rushed 11 times for 18 yards vs. the Giants. Jones had one of the unluckiest games this season by a tailback in terms of failing to score as he was stopped twice inside the one-yard line and also had a score nullified by penalty.

The Packers did not sack Giants QB Daniel Jones but had seven hits on him. Five of those came from Za’Darius Smith, who leads the team with 40 QB hits this season. Smith also leads the NFL in QB pressures (47).

What about the Redskins?

Washington is still actually alive in the NFC East race despite just three wins. It upset the Panthers on Sunday. Rookie Dwayne Haskins completed 13-of-25 passes for 147 yards. Haskins didn’t do anything in this one, but he didn’t need to with Derrius Guice and Adrian Peterson running all over Carolina. Guice rushed 10 times for 129 yards and two touchdowns, while Peterson rushed 13 times for 99 yards and one touchdown.

The Commanders gained 362 total yards — their second highest total and best since the season opener when they managed 398. The Redskins had not surpassed 300 yards since Week 6 vs. Miami. In fact, their 248 rushing yards Sunday topped their total yards for each of the previous five games.

The Redskins currently trail their all-time series with the Packers, 16-20-1, including postseason play. Including postseason play, the Redskins are 5-11 all-time at Lambeau Field against the Packers, dating back to the first meeting between the Packers and then-Boston Braves on Nov. 13, 1932.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Arizona Cardinals

Pittsburgh rookie quarterback Devlin Hodges, making his second career start, threw a touchdown pass and recorded a 95.7 passer rating in the Steelers’ 20-13 win against Cleveland on Sunday. Hodges, who won his first career start in Week 6, joins Ed Rubbert (1987) as the only undrafted rookie quarterbacks to win each of their first two career starts since 1970.

James Washington hauled in all four of his targets for 111 yards and one score in the win. It was the second-year wideout’s first career 100-yard game and quietly his third touchdown in his last four. He became the first Steeler to have three catches on 30-yard throws since Martavis Bryant did so in 2015 in a game that was also against the Browns. Washington has thrived with Hodges at quarterback. Top running back James Conner and No. 1 receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster were both out injured. Too early to tell if they play here.

The Steelers are favorites against the Cardinals in NFL Week 14.

On Monday, the Steelers activated Pro Bowl center Maurkice Pouncey from the suspended list. Pouncey has finished serving his two-game suspension. The Steelers released center Patrick Morris in a corresponding roster move.

What about the Cardinals?

Arizona lost its fifth in a row Sunday, 34-7 at home to the Rams. Kyler Murray completed 19-of-34 passes for 163 yards and one interception. Murray was less than 100 percent due to a hamstring injury and didn’t look quite right. The former No. 1 overall pick was under pressure often and should’ve had more than one interception. He did have 28 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

The Cardinals’ offense couldn’t find its footing all game. After three quarters, it had just 81 yards before finishing with 197 — with most coming in garbage time. The defense gave up a season-high 549 yards, including 424 passing yards by Rams quarterback Jared Goff. Los Angeles had two 100-yard receivers — in the first half.
