Week 16 NFL Sharp Betting Picks

Written by on December 20, 2016

With just two weeks remaining in the 2016 NFL regular season, clearly, there’s not much time left for you to cash in before the start of the postseason. With that thought in mind, let’s get to my Week 16 sharp betting picks.

Here’s A Closer Look At The Week 16 NFL Sharp Betting Picks

Minnesota at Green Bay

When: Saturday, December 24 at 1:00 PM ET Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin NFL Odds: Green Bay -6.5 Analysis: Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers (8-6 SU, 7-6 ATS) have won four straight and are completely desperate to reach the playoffs. The Minnesota Vikings (7-7 SU, 8-6 ATS) have lost three of their last four games and seven of their last nine games overall. Making matters, Minnesota could barely move the ball in their pitiful 34-6 loss to Indy this past weekend while Rodgers and company found a way to pull out a win against a feisty Bears team that wanted to ruin the Packers’ postseason hopes in a big way. There’s a reason why a whopping 79 percent of public bettors like the Pack to win and cover the NFL betting line and it’s because the Vikings have looked completely inept offensively ever since former offensive coordinator Norv Turner quite just a few weeks into the season. Green Bay is 6-3-1 SU in the last 10 meeting against Minnesota and 5-2 ATS in their L/7 home games against the Vikes. The Packers win to cover the spread with just bit of room to spare! Pick: Green Bay 27 Minnesota 17

Tennessee at Jacksonville

When: Saturday, December 24 at 1:00 PM ET Where: EverBank Field, Jacksonville, Florida NFL Odds: Tennessee -4.5 Analysis: There’s a reason why a compelling 76 percent of betting enthusiasts like Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans (8-6 SU, 6-8 ATS) to beat Blake Bortles and the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars (2-12 SU, 6-8 ATS) in their Week 16 AFC South divisional matchup. The Titans have won four of their seven road dates this season while Jacksonville has lost six of seven at home. Tennessee has the better statistical offense and defense in this affair and has looked phenomenal in beating Kansas City, Denver and Green Bay over the last five weeks. The Jags have lost nine straight and have absolutely nothing left to play for in yet another lost season. While the favorite in this series has gone 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings, it shouldn’t take you any ATS trends to know that the Titans are simply better than Jacksonville and have a ton to play for as they try to lock down a division title and accompanying playoff berth. Tennessee wins going away to cover the spread! Pick: Tennessee 31 Jacksonville 21

Miami at Buffalo

When: Saturday, December 24 at 1:00 PM ET Where: New Era Field, Orchard Park, New York NFL Odds: Buffalo -4 Analysis: The Miami Dolphins (9-5 SU, 8-6 ATS) have won two straight and a blistering eight of their last nine games overall including their emphatic 34-13 rout over the Jets this past weekend. The Buffalo Bills (7-7 SU, 6-8 ATS) snapped a two-game losing streak by beating the lowly Cleveland Browns 33-13 on Sunday. Still, the Bills haven’t looked very good in dropping five of their last eight games overall. Rumors of head coach Rex Ryan being fired are flying all around the beleaguered franchise. I’ve been saying it for a few years now that Miami would actually be better served by starting veteran Matt Moore over Ryan Tannehill and apparently I was right on the mark. Moore looked fantastic in tossing four TD passes against the Jets and I believe he’s going to lead Miami to the outright road win against Buffalo in a tight contest that looks like a thriller just waiting to happen. Miami is 7-1-1 ATS in its last nine games while Buffalo has gone 2-5-1 ATS over its last eight. 55 percent of public bettors like the Dolphins and so do me. Go with the majority and back Miami! Pick: Miami 24 Buffalo 21
