ATS Picks in the Third Week of the Season
The start of the NFL seasonhas come quick, and teams are already gearing up for the third week of action.
Week 3 of the season is going to be an interesting one as there are some teams that are already facing must-win situations.
When looking at the Week 3 schedule, there are a handful of games that stand out when it comes to the betting spread.
Here is a quick look at some of those games, and the ATS picks that you are going to want to make.
Writer’s ATS Picks for the NFL Week 3
New England Patriots vs. New York Jets -6.5
A big AFC East battle will kickoff the Week 3 action on Thursday Night Football, and this is an interesting matchup.
Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets are the betting favorites, but the New England Patriots have been playing well.
This should be a game in which the defense for the Jets dominate, and that will end up determining the winner.
Jump on the Jets at -6.5 as they are going to win this game by a touchdown.
Chicago Bears +2.5 vs. Indianapolis Colts
It has been a disappointing start for the Chicago Bears, and the same could be said for the Indianapolis Colts.
A pair of young quarterbacks will be on the field on Sunday when these teams meet up.
The Colts are slight betting favorites at home in this game, but they just haven’t proven that they can win games.
Take the points and back the Bears in this one as that defense can simply take over a contest.
Houston Texans -3.0 vs. Minnesota Vikings
A pair of 2-0 teams will meet up in Minnesota this weekend as the Vikings are set to host the Houston Texans.
This should be one of the best games of the weekend, but there can only be one winner.
Houston has an offense that resembles a Pro Bowl team, and they have also proven to be solid on defense.
The Texans are one of the Super Bowl favorites this year, and they will get a big win on the road in Minnesota.
Denver Broncos vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -6.5
The Denver Broncos are going to have another long season, and things aren’t going to be easy in Week 3.
Denver will visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and that is a team that is loaded with talent.
Tampa Bay has the ability to be explosive on offense, and that will be something to watch in this game.
Bet on the Buccaneers to win and cover the spread in this game.
Carolina Panthers vs. Las Vegas Raiders -5.5
The Carolina Panthers have benched quarterback Bryce Young ahead of Week 3, and that will give this team a new look.
Andy Dalton will now try to lead the Panthers to a win, but they are facing a difficult challenge in Las Vegas.
The Raiders are not supposed to be one of the better teams in the league, but they will win this game.
Las Vegas should be able to cover the spread as well as they can get some stops.
San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams +7.5
A pair of NFC West teams will meet up in Los Angeles, but there has been a lot of hype removed from this game.
Both the 49ers and Los Angeles Rams are dealing with some serious injuries, and that will hurt each team in this matchup.
Since both teams are dealing with injuries, it’s hard to know what to expect.
Taking the points and backing the Rams is the best way to go in this one.

NFL Week 3 ATS Picks
Previous Betting News
It’s Week 3 of the National Football League. It’s been an entertaining first two weeks of the season, and we expect nothing less from Week 3.
There are some great games on the slate, and we will break down a few.
Let’s take a look at the NFL Week 3 Against the Spread Picks.
NFL Week 3 ATS Picks | MyBookie Regular Season Preview
2023-24 NFL | 104th season of the National Football League
NFL Week 3: Thursday, September 21st – Monday, September 25th, 2023
San Francisco 49ers vs. New York Giants | Thursday Night Football
ATS: 49ers -10
Thursday, September 21st, 2023 at 8:15 PM | PRIME VIDEO
Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA
The 49ers look to be one of the best teams in the league again. Christian McCaffrey is awfully tough to take down, and if he is not getting it done, the rest of the offense is also talented.
No Saquan Barkley potentially for the Giants is horrible news. A short week, no running back, and a trip to San Francisco. None of that sounds fun.
A combination of McCaffrey, Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle, and a sharp Purdy with no Barkley is terrible news for the road team. Bet the 49ers to win this game easily on Thursday Night Football.

Buffalo Bills at Washington Commanders
ATS: Bills -6.5
Sunday, September 24th, 2023 at 1:00 PM | CBS
FedExField, Landover, MD
The Buffalo Bills got back on track in Week Two. Look for more where that came from in Week 3. Sure, the game is in Washington, but you will see many Bills fans in the house.
Buffalo is talented and will use that Week One loss to the Jets to their favor as the season progresses. Josh Allen torches the Washington defense, Buffalo plays solid defense, and the Bills win this game fairly easily.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Indianapolis Colts
ATS: Ravens -8
Sunday, September 24th, 2023 at 1:00 PM | CBS
M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD
The Baltimore Ravens are 2-0 to start the season. The win over the Bengals was an impressive one. Baltimore can do many things well and has a quarterback in Lamar Jackson, who is tough to navigate against.
For Indianapolis, keep an eye on the progress of quarterback Anthony Richardson. His two early rushing touchdowns put the Colts in a great spot, but the offense is nowhere the same without him. Whether he is in or not, the Ravens win this game by double digits.
NFL Week 3 ATS Pick: Ravens -8 | Bet Ravens over Colts
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Seattle Seahawks vs. Carolina Panthers
ATS: Seahawks -6
Sunday, September 24th, 2023 at 4:05 PM | CBS
Lumen Field, Seattle, WA
The Week Two win for Geno Smith, Pete Carroll, and his Seattle Seahawks was just what the doctor ordered.
The Seahawks were on the verge of potentially starting the season 0-2, but Smith led them downfield for an overtime win. Now, the Seattle offense is back on track and will take on a Carolina team that has struggled to start the season. The Panthers are 0-2 and are having a tough time scoring.
It’s hard to imagine a scenario where the Panthers stay within a field goal in this game. Take the Seahawks -4 over the Panthers in this Sunday affair.
NFL Week 3 ATS Pick: Seahawks -6 | Bet Seahawks over Panthers
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Kansas City Chiefs over Chicago Bears
ATS: Chiefs -12.5
Sunday, September 24th, 2023 at 4:25 PM | FOX
GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
While the Kansas City Chiefs are 1-1 on the season, this game has vibes as the best team in the National Football League against the worst team. Patrick Mahomes was not over-the-top impressive in Week Two, but having Travis Kelce back made things much better for the offense.
The defense was the key for the Chiefs, who kept the Jaguars off balance all day. For Chicago, staring 0-3 in the eyes and 13 straight losses is not the news they wanted.
Justin Fields shows some brilliance but then returns to being a guy who is only out there for his legs. He didn’t use his legs against Tampa, and his two late interceptions sealed the fate.
NFL Week 3 ATS Pick: Chiefs -12.5 | Bet Chiefs over Bears

2022 NFL Against the Spread Betting Picks for Top Games of Week 3
Previous Betting News
I’s sure there are many of you out there still trying to catch your breath after a crazy Week 2 in the NFL. We had not one but two amazing comebacks this past weekend, with the Cardinals and Dolphins both somehow managing to pull out wins when all seemed lost. We also had the Buffalo Bills put on another show that marks them as the very clear favorite to win the Super Bowl. Yes, we are only 2 weeks into the season, but Buffalo already looks to be in high gear and ready to destroy everything in their path. There is a lot of football still to be played and things can change quickly, so let’s instead simply focus on Week 3. We will, as usual, have a variety of different picks coming your way, but for now, let’s stick with some NFL Betting ATS picks for Week 3.
Against The Spread Early Picks Must Wager On for NFL Week 3
Jacksonville Jaguars at LA Chargers (-7)
Week 2 may have ended with a defeat for the Chargers, but the reality is that losing a close one to the Kansas City Chiefs is still a loss that this team can take something from. This weekend, they will be facing a Jaguars team sure to still be on a high after sticking it to the Indianapolis Colts in a big way. The question now is whether the Jaguars are turning a corner or were just up against a Colts team that does not look very good through the opening 2 weeks of the season. We can only look at the past when looking for trends, and what we find is that the Chargers have covered the spread in each of their last 5 meetings with the Jaguars.
Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins (+5 ½)
I am well aware that I just said that the Bills look totally unbeatable right now, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t end up in a closer battle than what they have been in through the opening couple of weeks. This weekend, they will be in Miami to face a Dolphins team that is coming off a miraculous come from behind win over the Baltimore Ravens on the road. The addition of Tyreek Hill looks to be a masterstroke, as it seems to have boosted the confidence of Tua Tagovailoa, who has been great thus far. The Dolphins are now 9-2 ATS in their last 11 and have covered in 6 of their last 8 non-conference games.
Cincinnati Bengals (-4 ½) at New York Jets
In recent times, we have seen the team that lost in the Super Bowl struggle in the following season, with many of them failing to make the playoffs after a championship game loss. The Bengals still have plenty of time to right the wrongs of the opening couple of weeks, but that stats clearly show that teams getting off to an 0-2 start very often struggle to make it into the postseason. This weekend, they will be in the Big Apple to face a Jets team coming off a big win over the Cleveland Browns. The Bengals are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall and I believe they will snap out of their early season swoon.

NFL 2021 Regular Season – Week 3 ATS Betting Picks
Previous Betting News
If there’s one thing that football fans have in common, it’s that we all tend to overreact to a single game. In Week 1, we saw several potential Super Bowl winners lose, causing a lot of people to begin questioning those teams. We should all know by now that the cream always seems to find a way to rise to the top over the course of a full season. That said, there are a couple of teams who already look to be in some serious trouble, and while there is still plenty of time for things to change, you do look at teams like Atlanta and the two New York teams and wonder where a win will come from this season. We are not looking at wins in this piece, though, as this is all about picking ATS in Week 3. At 2-4, we are off to a slow start with our ATS picks, so let’s see if we can change that this week. With all that in mind, let’s jump right into action so you can keep betting against the NFL odds.
Week 3 ATS Picks for the 2021 Season | NFL Betting
Carolina Panthers (-7 ½) at Houston Texans
Sometimes, all it takes is a change of scenery for a player to begin to thrive in the NFL. That certainly seems to be the case with Panthers QB Sam Darnold, as he has looked very good in the opening two weeks of the season after being shipped out by the New York Jets. The Panthers are 2-0 after putting in a very good performance against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. They will now hit the road to face Houston in the Thursday night game, and there are a lot of reasons to like the Panthers in primetime. They are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games, but perhaps more importantly, they have covered the spread in 7 straight road games.
Baltimore Ravens (-9) at Detroit Lions
Heading into the 4th quarter in their Week 2 games versus the Kansas City Chiefs, it looked as though the Ravens were about to fall to 0-2. Down by 11, they put on a show in the final quarter and came away with the win. It’s the type of win that can prove to be a major turning point in a season, which could be bad news for a Detroit Lions heading into the weekend on a short week after losing to Green Bay on Monday night. It should be noted that Baltimore is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 visits to Detroit, but their recent form is much more convincing. That includes covering the spread in 8 of their last 10 games. I think the Ravens look like double-digit winners in this one.
Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders (-4)
This is a line that could potentially change as we await the status of Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa, who left the Week 2 game with a rib injury. Tagovailoa is listed as day-to-day, but the chances are strong that Jacoby Brissett will get the start. That puts a question mark on the 1-1 Dolphins, but even if Tua was under center, I still think they would have a tough time against a Raiders team that has looked very good through the opening 2 weeks of the season. The Raiders have beaten two good teams and covered as the underdog in both games. They are now 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games played in the month of September.

2019 NFL Week 3 Must-Bet Games
Previous Betting News
The last time Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs hosted Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, the two teams and their respective young signal-callers laid it all on the line in a game that turned out to be a flat-out thriller. Will another epic affair break out when the two AFC Super Bowl hopefuls meet in Week 3 of the 2019 NFL regular season?
With the start of NFL preseason action just a few short weeks away, now is a great time to get an early jump on your 2019 betting selections, thanks to the complete offering of NFL regular season betting odds that have been recently released. Whether you like favorites, underdogs, home teams or road warriors, you’re going to get your fill of NFL betting predictions right now. With that said, let’s get down to business with my trio of 2019 NFL Week 3 regular season picks.
2019 NFL Week 3 Must-Bet Games
Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs
I know the Kansas City Chiefs have a high-powered offense that led the league in scoring last season (35.3 ppg) and is centered around the inimitable talents of reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes, but Baltimore has a stupendous defense that finished second in points allowed (17.9 ppg) while helping the Ravens go 5-3 ATS on the road a year ago. Despite their penchant for putting points on the board early and often in 2018, Kansas City didn’t exactly light the place on fire when it came to covering the chalk at Arrowhead Stadium last season (4-4 ATS).
For this Week 3 matchup of AFC Championship contenders, I say, look no further than at the Week 14 meetings between these two conference rivals last season. With Kansas City playing at home, The Chiefs managed to scratch out a hard-fought 27-24 overtime win on Harrison Butler’s 35-yard field goal. To be direct, I’m expecting this Week 3 matchup to be a lot closer to another field goal finish than a nearly double-digit win it would take for the Chiefs to cover the chalk. Basically, I’ve got Kansas City winning, but the Ravens covering the chalk.
Pick: Baltimore +7.5
LA Rams at Cleveland Browns
While I, like everyone else, love Cleveland’s offseason transactions, that brought them some pretty good talent, starting with Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., I genuinely believe a lot of NFL ‘experts’ are jumping the gun when it comes to Cleveland being a possible Super contender in 2019. While I am expecting the Browns to challenge for their first winning record since they went 10-6 back in 2007, I’m certainly not expecting them to reach the same level of excellence we’ve seen out of Super Bowl runner-up Los Angeles the last couple of seasons.
Even on the road, this looks like a game the NFC champion Rams should and will, win. Remember, despite their stunning Super Bowl failure against New England, the Rams still have the core group of players from a team that went a stellar 13-3 in the regular season a year ago and an equally impressive 6-2 on the road. I know the Browns tried to address their defense this offseason after finishing 30th overall last season, but I don’t think it’s going to be improved enough to stop Jared Goff, Todd Gurley and the rest of the Rams’ high-powered offense in this Week 3 matchup. L.A. wins and narrowly covers, but it’s going to be a battle.
Pick: LA Rams -4
Miami Dolphins at Dallas Cowboys
While I’m excited about the completely new regime of GM Chris Grier and head coach Brian Flores taking over in South Beach, I’m definitely not expecting the AFC East playoff longshots to rise up and stun Dallas for the outright win in this Week 3 Inter-Conference clash. Having said that, I’m also not feeling a Cowboys double-digit win in this meeting either. Dallas might have won 10 games last season while reaching the divisional round of the playoffs, but the ‘Boys also only recorded one double-digit win along the way. Dating back to 2010, Dallas has gone 0-3 ATS in their last three home games as a favorite of 9 or 9.5 points and that glaring trend should tell you how difficult it’s going to be for the Boys to down the Dolphins by at least 10 points to cover the chalk.
Dallas also averaged exactly one point per game more than they allowed defensively last season and in reality, they just don’t have the kind of passing-based offensive scheme that points points on the board in a hurry like some other teams in today’s pass-happy times (Kansas City, LA Rams). Miami covered the chalk last season in their only road date as an underdog between 9-10 points by narrowly upsetting Indianapolis before falling 27-24. In addition to that, I’m expecting Flores to bring some of the no-nonsense ways he learned as a linebacker coach in New England to Miami’s formerly rudderless locker room under Adam Gase. In the end, I think the spread for this Week 3 matchup should be closer to a touchdown at most and I like the Fins to cover as road dogs!
Pick: Miami +9
NFL Week 3 ATS Picks Analysis
Previous Betting News
The Jacksonville Jaguars are back to being their old selves while the Los Angeles Chargers have picked up right where they left off a year ago. Last but not least, the Los Angeles Rams are hoping to extend their impressive play when they take to the gridiron in NFL Week 3 of the 2017 NFL regular season.
If you’re looking for value in the form of ATS, then look no further! The majority of the NFL odds for Week 3 have been released, and here you have three great opportunities to cash in with potentially winning wagers.
NFL Week 3 ATS Picks Analysis
Baltimore Ravens at Jacksonville Jaguars
When: September 24, 2017 at 9:30 AM ET
Where: Wembley Stadium, London
NFL Odds: Baltimore -4
Total: 40.5
Analysis: Veteran Joe Flacco tossed two TD passes and the Baltimore Ravens forced five turnovers for the second straight game in their 24-10 Week 2 win over Cleveland and now they look like they’re going to spank a Jacksonville Jaguars team that reverted back to its mostly incompetent ways in their 37-16 Week 2 loss to AFC South rival Tennessee.
Blake Bortles was back to his usual self in completing just 20 of 34 for 223 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions as Jacksonville fell apart in the second half after trailing 6-3 at halftime and now the Jags don’t look like they have any chance whatsoever to beat the Ravens or cover the NFL betting line even as a home underdog.
Baltimore may be 2-6 ATS in its last eight road games, but I like them to put a dent in those trend by smacking the Jaguars senseless when the battle on the other side of the pond. The Jaguars have lost nine of their last dozen meetings against the Ravens, making Baltimore the easy pick to win in London.
Expert NFL Week 3 Pick: Baltimore -4
Kansas City Chiefs (2-0) at L.A. Chargers (0-2)
When: Sunday, September 24, at 4:25 PM ET
Where: StubHub Center
NFL Odds: LA Chargers +2.5
Total: 45.5
Analysis: The Kansas City Chiefs keep finding ways to win games while the Los Angeles Chargers keep finding new ways to lose in heartbreaking fashion, generally by a touchdown or less.
The Chiefs moved to 2-0 by beating Philadelphia 27-20 as Kareem Hunt broke free for a 53-yard touchdown run with 1:20 remaining in the third quarter to give the Chiefs a 13-10 lead they would never give up after a tight first half. Veteran quarterback Alex Smith completed 21 of 28 passes while tight end Travis Kelcie caught eight passes for 103 yards and one score.
The Chargers fell to Miami as Fins kicker Cody Parkey nailed his fourth field goal of the game from 54 yards out with just 65 seconds remaining. Veteran quarterback Philip Rivers completing 31 of 39 passes for 282 yards with a touchdown.
Kansas City has won six straight over Los Angeles and will make it seven in a row by controlling Rivers and company while getting just enough offense from Alex Smith and company to make another win stand up. The Chiefs are also 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against the Chargers and 5-1 ATS in their last six road dates against the Bolts! It’s that simple people!
Expert NFL Week 3 Pick: Kansas City -2.5
L.A. Rams (1-1) at San Francisco (0-2)
When: September 21, 2017 at 8:25 PM ET
Where: Levi’s Stadium
NFL Odds: San Francisco +2.5
Total: 41
Analysis: Los Angeles put up a good effort in Week 2 but ended up on the wrong side of a narrow 27-20 Week 2 loss against Washington despite failing to cover the spread as a 3-point favorite.
San Francisco got pounded by Carolina in its 23-3 Week 1 loss as a 4.5-point home underdog but put up a great effort before narrowly falling to Seattle 12-9 in Week 2 while easily covering the spread as a 13.5-point road dog.
For this Week 3 affair, I’m going to advise you to back the Rams team that has clearly been revitalized by the arrival of new head coach Sean McVay. The Rams are ranked an encouraging fifth in scoring (33.0 ppg) and equally impressive 10th in points allowed (18.0 ppg) while San Francisco is ranked a pitiful 30th in scoring (6.0 ppg) despite ranking an impressive ninth in points allowed (17.5 ppg).
The Niners may be playing at home, but I’m going to urge you to back the Rams, simply because they’re the only team in this contest with a competent quarterback.
If Frisco wants to continue trying to win games with Brian Hoyer, well, let’s just say it’s going to take a miracle for that to happen, while suddenly, Jared Goff looks really good by completing 66.7 percent of his passes with two touchdowns and just one interception while throwing for 530 yards through two games.
Expert NFL Week 3 Pick: Rams -2.5
