Are the Redskins a safe betting pick against the Broncos?

NFL Week 3 New York Vs Washington Winning Predictions

Written by on September 23, 2016

The winless and completely desperate Washington Redskins will look to get the upset road win and ATS cover against the unbeaten New York Giants when the longtime NFC East division rivals square off in their Week 3 NFC East divisional showdown on Sunday. With this contest offering a ton of online betting value, let’s find out which team will bring home the bacon!

Here’s a Closer Look At The NFL Week 3 Giants Vs Redskins Winning Predictions

When: Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET Where: MetLife Stadium TV: FOX NFL Odds: NY Giants -4.5 / Total: 46.5

Bet The Washington Redskins at +3 Because…

Washington is completely desperate. The Washington Commanders fell to 0-2 by losing to NFC East rival Dallas 27-23 at home last weekend as quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 28 of 46 passes for 364 yards with one touchdown and one interception while running back Matt Jones rushed 13 times for 61 yards and one score. Unfortunately, the Skins also gave up three rushing touchdowns and allowed Cowboys’ rookie signal-caller Dak Prescott to dictate throughout while getting limited to just 82 total rushing yards and losing the time of possession battle by five minutes. Washington is allowing a whopping 32.5 points and 408.5 yards per game through two games.

Bet The New York Giants at -3 Because…

The Giants have the edge at quarterback and are playing at home. New York improved to 2-0 by squeaking past the New Orleans Saints 16-13 in Week 2 as quarterback Eli Manning completed 32 of 41 passes for 368 yards to help the G-Men overcome three turnovers. New York got the win on Josh Brown’s 23-yard field goal as time expired. The Giants are averaging a modest 18 points per game, but have been rock-solid defensively in limiting their first two opponents to just16 points and 308 yards per game. Jonathan Casillas leads New York in tackles with 17 while safety Landon Collins has added 12 tackles.

Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction

I’m not real fond of the 4.5-point spread, but I’m going to back the New York Giants to get the win and super narrow ATS cover against Washington, mostly because the G-Men are playing at home and have the far better defense at this point. The Skins have lost 118 of their last 22 road games outright while going 1-5 SU and ATS in their last six games against the Giants. Washington is also a pitiful 1-7 SU and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight road dates against the G-Men. New York wins by keeping Kirk Cousins in check while getting a solid outing from likely future Hall of Fame quarterback Eli Manning.

My Pick: NY Giants 30 Washington 24
