The championship game or series is the pinnacle of professional sports for both the teams involved and the fans. While each team involved would like to get things over as quickly as possible, we fans are selfish in that we want to see a series go as deep as possible. There were some serious doubts that we might be getting an extended series after the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins blasted the Nashville Predators in the opening games to take a quick 2-0 series lead. Game 3 quickly became do or die for the Preds, and they were able to come up big, winning 5-1 on home ice to haul themselves back into this thing. This is not the time for the Predators to relax, though, as they will be well aware that a loss on Game 4 would push them to the brink, and force them to head back to Pittsburgh in need of a win, which is something that is becoming increasingly difficult to do as these playoffs progress.
