Who deserves the most attention to win the Stanley Cup among the Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, Vegas Golden Knights, and Toronto Maple Leafs?

Boston didn’t play the Washington Capitals or the Tampa Bay Lightning in last season’s NHL Playoffs. They didn’t play Vegas in the Stanley Cup. Or, the Sharks, or the Predators. Yet, they failed to get by the St. Louis Blues. Maybe, the Bruins aren’t built to win a Stanley Cup.

One must question Toronto’s defense. In 2018-2019, the Leafs ranked 31st in penalty minutes, 20th in goals against, and 24th in shots against. Playing defense like that won’t get you to the Cup, much less help you win it.

Both the Lightning and Golden Knights deserve some attention. Vegas is getting attention because they play in the Pacific Division. Calgary might repeat as the division winners, though.

Tampa Bay looked like easy Cup winners. They choked in Round 1. The experience could either help them or hurt them. It figures to help them because the Lightning remain the top team in NHL. Expect Tampa Bay to have a much better playoff run in 2020.

What team or teams between +1400 and +2000 odds have the best chances of winning the 2020 Stanley Cup?

Calgary didn’t change much. They entered the Western Conference Playoffs as the top seed. The Flames traded for Milan Lucic. That should help them.

Sometimes, it takes a team a bad playoff run, to know what it’s like, so that they can get stronger in the future. That could be the case with the Flames. The Colorado Avalanche are getting more love. The Flames are the squad from the Western Conference offering decent odds bettors should pay attention to.

Which team between +2200 and +4500 odds has a shot at Lord Stanley’s hardware?

The New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Washington Capitals all offer decent odds. Of those three squads, Washington is the team to back. At +2800, the Capitals offer overlay odds to win the Stanley Cup. Alex Ovechkin, goalie Braden Holtby, and Nicklas Backstrom are fantastic. Back the Caps if you believe.

Is there a team at odds of higher than +4500 who can win the Stanley Cup this season?

The New York Rangers could pull a major upset. They won the Artemi Panarin sweepstakes during the offseason. They drafted Kappo Kakko, who could take the NHL by storm in his rookie season. Henrik Lundqvist remains in goal. NYR will have a chance to shock the hockey world after an awful, ridiculously bad, 2018-2019 season.
