Pittsburgh @ Tampa Bay NHL ECF Game 6 Betting Guide

If you are a regular with online sports betting, you are probably well aware that the home team in any given game has a definite edge. Where this theory can often go out the window in when the playoffs roll around, especially when you get to the latter stages of the postseason. The NHL Conference Finals have seen the home ice advantage go out the window a little, but the Tampa bay Lightning will be hoping to take advantage of their home ice on Tuesday night, as one more win at the Amalie Arena will see them knock off the Pittsburgh Penguins and move on to the Stanley Cup Final for the second straight season. As I said, though, home ice has not been particularly kind to any of the 4 teams left in the playoff picture right now, and it’s hard to be against a Penguins team that is so loaded with talent. You can keep up to date with all the latest NHL odds on this one at MyBookie.ag.

How To Bet The Penguins vs Lightning Game 6 NHL Playoffs Odds, TV & Game Info:

When: Tuesday, May 24 at 8 PM EST Where: Amalie Arena, Tampa Bay, Florida TV: NBCSN Radio: Penguins and Lightning Live Stream: NBCSN NHL Odds: TBA

Why bet on the Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins passed up a glorious opportunity in Game 5 of this series, as they were leading the Lightning 3-2 late in the game. They folded, though, and gave up a late goal before finally going down to a bit of a fluke goal in OT. That is now back to back 4-3 losses for the Penguins who have to find a way to play the sort of defense that helped them get into the postseason in the first place. The good news for Pittsburgh is that they have been good on the road during these playoffs, sporting a 4-3 record on the road so far. It’s going to be interesting to see what they do in goal, but you have to believe that they will go back to Murray after Fleury failed to impress in Game 5.

Why bet on the Tampa Bay Lightning

You cannot talk about the exploits of the Tampa Bay Lightning without first mentioning how they have excelled without some of their best players in the line-up. Top goal scorer Steven Stamkos has been unavailable for the entire playoffs, while number 1 goalie Ben Bishop has missed a large portion of this series. The Lightning have adopted a next man up type of attitude, with everyone buying into the system and playing at their best. It’s easy to forget that this is an experienced playoff team, and they are drawing on all of that to make another run at the Stanley Cup. The Lightning are a very healthy 6-2 on home ice in these playoffs, but one of those losses did come at the hands of the Penguins.

My Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

Both conference finals have been a lot of fun to watch, and both are possibly going to go the full 7 games. The betting odd for this one are sure to be pretty favorable whichever way you choose to go, and I will have my money on the Penguins winning and forcing a Game 7.
