Why Bet on Nashville?
The Predators led this series 2-1 but have dropped the past two. It was 5-3 on Saturday in Game 5. Roman Josi contributed two assists in the loss. Josi had a hand in goals by Rocco Grimaldi and Ryan Johansen. The 28-year-old blueliner leads the Predators with four points (two goals, two assists) through five matches this postseason.Ryan Johansen scored his first goal of the playoffs on Saturday. Johansen cut Nashville’s deficit to 3-2 at the 9:18 mark of the second period. Nashville’s top line of Johansen, Filip Forsberg and Viktor Arvidsson has four points in the series. Johansen and Forsberg have picked up one goal and one assist apiece.
Arvidsson has not earned a point yet. He has been credited with 13 shots in Nashville’s first-round series against Dallas. Arvidsson led the Predators with 34 goals in just 58 games during the regular season.
Rocco Grimaldi scored a goal in the loss. Grimaldi was questionable prior to the contest due to an undisclosed injury. In spite of that, he scored just 6:25 minutes into the game with his team-leading third playoff goal. That gave Nashville a 1-0 lead, but it was the only time in the contest that the Predators were ahead.
Pekka Rinne saved 21 of 26 shots in the loss. Rinne also struggled in Game 4, getting yanked after allowing four goals on eight shots. He has a 3.55 GAA and .883 save percentage in five playoff games.
In NHL postseason history, the team who wins Game 5 in a 2-2 series comes away as the victors almost 80 percent of the time. Only 55 teams have reversed course. The 2016 Predators were one of those clubs, winning Games 6 and 7 over the Anaheim Ducks to advance to Round 2.

Alexander Radulov recorded his second career multi-goal game in the playoffs, after first doing so in his postseason debut with Nashville (Game 1 of 2007 CQF). Additionally, his four tallies in the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs surpasses his single-postseason high also set in 2007 (3-1—4 in 4 GP).
Tyler Seguin scored the game-winning goal and registered an assist Saturday. Seguin has two goals and five points in five playoff games this year. Jason Dickinson scored the first two playoff goals of his career in Game 5. Dickinson was a bottom-six forward for most of the season but has been elevated to a top-six role in the playoffs. He is currently playing with Hintz and Mats Zuccarello on the second line.
Ben Bishop saved 30 of 33 shots. Bishop allowed a goal in each period, but Dallas led for most of the contest. Nashville got on the board first at 6:25 of the first period and Dallas evened it at 13:08, ending the only section where the Predators had the lead. Bishop is a finalist for the Vezina Trophy.
