St. Louis Blues at NY Rangers – Tuesday November 1

You have one of the best teams in the Western Conference going on the road to face one of the best teams in the East. Does it get any better than that? The New York Rangers have been dominant on home ice so far, going 5-1-0, but they are facing a Blues team that has started the season with a very respectable 2-1-1 road record. The Rangers are banging in the goals at a fast rate this season, and the Blues are playing some solid defense. Everything about this game screams great match-up.

Pittsburgh Penguins at Anaheim Ducks – Wednesday November 2

The defending Stanley Cup champions are off to a 6-2-1 start this season, but the Penguins are doing it in rather odd fashion. The Pens are 5-0-1 at home and 1-2-0 on the road, but the strange part of all of this is that they have a goal difference of -2. Despite having given up more goals than they have scored, they are still on top in the Metropolitan Division. The Ducks are off to yet another sloppy start to the season, but have a winning record at home, and are always hard to beat there.

Calgary Flames at San Jose Sharks – Thursday November 3

The Pacific Division looks as though it’s going to be wide open again this season, which is why getting wins over division rivals is essential, even in the early part of the season. The Flames got off to a slow start, but Brian Elliott is starting to find his form between the pipes, and this young Flames team is capable of lighting things up offensively. The San Jose Sharks look as though they are going to be very tough to beat in their own building this year, and are already off to a 4-0-0 start on home ice.

Chicago Blackhawks at Dallas Stars – Saturday November 5

The Central Division has been the best one in the NHL for a few years now and we are always pretty much guaranteed some fireworks when these teams hook up. The Dallas Stars are not off to a particularly good start to the season, but they can get things heading in a positive direction with a home win over the Blackhawks, who are already vying for top spot in the Central. This should be a good one.
