Top NHL Betting Games of the Week (Nov. 15th – 20th)

Written by on November 14, 2016

Time flies when you are enjoying yourself, which may explain why we are already almost a quarter of the way through the NHL season. While the games seem to be flying by, there is still an awful lot of hockey to be played. You can almost guarantee that the standings you see right now are not going to look anything like that once the season ends. Will there be a major shift in the current balance of power, or are the teams who are hot right now continue to stay that way for an extended period? Only time will tell, but for now, let’s look at some of the best games on the NHL calendar for this week.

A Closer Look At The Top NHL Betting Games of the Week (Nov. 15th – 20th)

Tampa Bay Lightning at Detroit Red Wings – Tuesday November 15

I love games that feature a pair of teams who are very evenly matched like the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Detroit Red Wings. This Atlantic Division game features two teams with almost identical records in everything from wins and losses to goals scored and conceded. Both are sitting right in the middle of the pack in the division now, and it’s fair to say that they would both like to improve upon their current form, which has not been very good. One of the more intriguing games on the calendar on Tuesday night.

Pittsburgh Penguins at Washington Capitals – Wednesday November 16

When you have the defending Stanley Cup Champions going against the reigning President’s Trophy champs, you get a game that is considered a must watch. The Penguins and Capitals are both chasing down the New York Rangers in the Metropolitan Division, but you can bet that they will all be changing positions several times before this season ends. It’s a slow night on the NHL calendar on Wednesday, but this game helps make up for that.

Boston Bruins at Minnesota Wild – Thursday November 19

The Boston Bruins are 7-3-0 in their last 10 games, which makes them one of the hottest teams in the NHL of late. They have been better on the road than they have been at home so far, but they will have a tough test to look forward to on Thursday when they head to Minnesota to face the Wild. Minnesota are sitting just off the pace in the Central Division, and have been tough to beat in their own building this season, posting a 4-1-0 record so far.

NY Rangers at Columbus Blue Jackets – Friday November 20

If you want a game that promises to deliver goals, look no further than this match-up, as both teams have proven that they know how to light the lamp. The Rangers are first in scoring with 4.1 GPG, while the Blue Jackets are currently in second with 3.5 GPG. Both teams are in the top 10 in power play efficiency, so it’s fair to say that we might be looking at the OVER when playing this one. Either way, both of these teams are on a hot streak, or that makes for a very good match-up to watch and wager on.
