College Football Over/Under Top Betting Picks for the Upcoming 2023/24 Season

College Football Over/Under Top Betting Picks for the Upcoming 2023/24 Season

With the NBA season over and the NHL season maybe just 1 game away from being done, it seems like the perfect time to start looking ahead to the arrival of football. That is exactly what we are doing now, as we will have NCAA Football betting odds and team breakdowns for several different college football teams in the coming days and weeks. It is perhaps still a little too early to start making any big predictions for the season, especially with so many moves made in the transfer portal. What we are willing to do at this point is look at the point totals that the bookies have released as we go in search of some potential winners. So, let’s do that now and pick out a few teams who we like to go over or under their season win total.

Georgia Bulldogs – OVER 11 ½

This is a team that has very little left to prove after winning the National Championship in back-to-back seasons. Don’t tell that to Kirby Smart, though, as this is a coach that seems to be obsessed with winning. Just as they had to do last season, the Dawgs had some holes to fill after losing a ton of players to the draft. That said, this looks like a team that had reloaded brilliantly and will once again be the cream of college football. An OVER here would mean another perfect season for Georgia, and when you look at their schedule, doing that does not seem like a bridge too far.

Stanford Cardinal – UNDER 3

This is a team that has been hammered by players heading to the portal, which is not particularly surprising when you consider that a new coaching staff is coming in. Troy Taylor is in as the new head coach and will almost certainly have a rough first season with a team that he is basically building from scratch after a brilliant run as coach of Sacramento State. It is going to take him time to turn this ship around, so do not expect much of anything in year 1. It certainly doesn’t help that the Cardinal have a brutal schedule, and while 3 wins is possible, anything more seems very unlikely.

Auburn Tigers – OVER 6 ½

The Tigers have been on the skid for a few seasons now and are coming off back-to-back losing seasons, which was what ultimately spelled the end of the Bryan Harsin era. It’s a tough road back, especially in the SEC, but hiring Hugh Freeze is a move that might well pay some quick dividends. Freeze had made a habit of moving to a new team and making quick improvements, just as he did with Ole Miss and Liberty. This seems like a bigger job than he had with those teams, but I certainly think 7 or 8 wins is achievable for Freeze and Auburn.

Colorado Buffaloes – UNDER 3 ½

The hype surrounding Colorado this offseason is huge, with Deion Sanders coming in as head coach and essentially blowing things up. This is a team that has been ridiculously active with incomings and outgoings in the transfer portal, with Sanders looking to build the team he wants. That much movement does not make for a stable environment, though, and getting that many new players to learn a system and gel quickly looks like a tough ask. Long-term, who knows what Sanders will achieve here, but season 1 looks like it might be rough.
