2022 NCAA Football Power Rankings Betting Update Heading Into Week 4 of the Season

As we’re heading into Week 4 of the college football season, we’re coming off of a week that wasn’t near as eventful as Week 2. There weren’t any major upsets, but there were some ranked teams that survived a scare.

In looking at our power rankings for Week 4, there’s not a lot of movement up top. Let’s take a look at our power rankings, and we’ll give you a brief NCAA Football Betting analysis of our top teams in those rankings.

Updated Power Rankings After Week 3 of the 2022 College Football Season

1. Georgia Bulldogs

When the Bulldogs lost a good portion of their defense to the NFL Draft, many thought that the Georgia program may take a small step backwards. Well, that hasn’t been the case. After Georgia thoroughly dominated South Carolina last Saturday, the Bulldogs have solidified themselves as the top team in our power rankings. Stetson Bennett has complete control of the high-powered Georgia offense. And the defense hasn’t missed a beat. This team is on a collision course with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

2. Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama took it to Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday. Alabama will now play Vanderbilt this weekend, and we don’t think that the Commodores will pose much of a challenge to the Tide. Alabama will now be playing SEC teams, so they’ll have to step things up.

3. Ohio State Buckeyes

After beating Toledo easily on Saturday, the Ohio State Buckeyes now have to prepare for a rugged Big 10 schedule. CJ Stroud has an arsenal of weapons at his disposal, and he has found a way to utilize all of them. They play Wisconsin on Saturday, so we’ll see if Jim Knowles and his defense can slow down a legitimate offense.

4. USC Trojans

Caleb Williams and Jordan Addison have great chemistry. Williams has already thrown five touchdown passes to the All-American receiver. Lincoln Riley’s squad has scored over 40 points in each of their first three games this season. Even though the defense has had some rough spells, we still think that the USC Trojans are going to be a playoff team.

5. Oklahoma Sooners

The Sooners traveled to Lincoln to take on their old rivals, the Nebraska Cornhuskers. After thoroughly dominating the Huskers, the Oklahoma Sooners are showing everyone that they’re still one of the top teams in the country. The offense has played well all season, but the defense really stepped it up last week. We’ll see how the Sooners handle the strong Big 12.

6. Michigan Wolverines

After Jim Harbaugh’s squad put up 50 points for the third straight game, people are now starting to pay more attention to the Michigan Wolverines. They’re strong on both sides of the ball, and J.J. McCarthy has seemed to solidify himself as the Michigan quarterback. With a great offensive line, the Wolverines can beat teams with their running game. That will be a huge advantage for them in the future. We’re looking forward to seeing them play in a loaded Big 10. The big question surrounding Michigan is whether or not they’ll be able to beat the Ohio State Buckeyes for the second time in a row.
