The two biggest matches for rugby betting this weekend are in the NRL, where North Queensland battles Parramatta while Penrith and South Sydney battle it out both with trips to the Grand Final on the line.
The Premiership is also heading into round three, so we’re starting to see which teams can contend (although it’s still very early) and which clubs still have some work to do. The same goes with the Top 14 as they head into round four. Let’s take a look at some of the best bets coming up from around the globe so you can wager against the Rugby Odds.

North Queensland Cowboys (-2.5) vs Parramatta Eels, NRL
These two squads finished #3 and #4 in the ladder this season, and it was the Eels who got the poor draw in the qualifying final, losing 27-8 to Penrith. That put them in action last weekend in a relatively smooth 40-4 win over the Raiders, but at the same time, North Queensland was resting after their 32-30 win over Cronulla in qualifying earned them a bye last week.
North Queensland picked up an easy 35-4 win over the Eels earlier this season in Darwin, but overall this series has been pretty evenly matched, with the Cowboys having a slight 5-4 edge in the last nine games. Ultimately the extra rest and having the NRL’s leading scorer in Val Holmes has to favor North Queensland here.
Penrith Panthers (-8.5) vs South Sydney Rabbitohs, NRL
Let’s attempt this again. The South Sydney Rabbitohs have had their seasons ended by the Penrith Panthers in three straight years, including last year’s brutal 14-12 loss in the Grand Final when Adam Reynolds missed a sideline conversion attempt that would have leveled things at 14-14.
The only thing going for the Bunnies here is the fact that Penrith may have some rust, as they’ve really only played one meaningful game in the last month, which was the 27-8 win over the Eels in the qualifying final. The Panthers rested many players at the end of the regular season after already clinching the minor premiership with weeks to go, but they also got star Nathan Cleary back for the finals after his late-season suspension. Have to go, Penrith.
Bristol RC Bears vs London Irish, English Premiership
Bristol is off to a 2-0 start in the 2022 English Premiership, barely getting by Bath 31-29 in week one but then stomping the Wasps 23-8 last Saturday. The London Irish were dominant in a week one 45-14 pounding of Worcester but came back to reality in last Saturday’s 38-22 thumping at the hands of Northampton.
Stade Toulousain (-9.5) vs Racing 92, Top 14
La Rochelle sits at the peak of the top 14 as the only undefeated team in the league, but both Toulousain and Racing 92 are right behind them at 2-1. Something will get shaken up in the ladder when Toulousain and Racing 92 meet up on Saturday.
