Top 2022 Rugby Matches to Bet On: NRL Round 25, and Super League Round 27 Games Preview

We are getting into the waning weeks of rugby across the continent, with the NRL entering their last week before finals and the Super League in round 27 of 27 also. Those are the two leagues to focus on in the first weekend of September Rugby Betting

Weekly Rundown of the Top Rugby Games to Must Bet On | August 31st Edition

Hull FC (-177)  vs Hull Kingston Rovers (+133), Super League, Saturday 10:00 AM ET

The Hull derby doesn’t have any finals implications on the line, but oddsmakers are calling this one a very tight one with close rugby betting odds. Saturday’s contest is the rubber match between these two teams, with Hull K.R. winning 16-14 in April but then falling 28-34 on the 10th of July.

Leeds Rhinos (-360) vs Castleford Tigers (+255), Super League Saturday 10:00 AM ET

Easily the match of the weekend as the winner between Leeds and Castleford heads to the finals. Both of these squads are tied with 13 wins, and have split in league play this season. Castleford also had a 40-16 win over the Rhinos in the Betfred Challenge Cup so if they go 3-1 in the season series it will be especially devastating to Leeds.

Salford Red Devils (-375) vs Warrington Wolves (+255), Super League Saturday 10:00 AM ET

Salford is heading to the finals with a four-game win streak that includes a 33-16 win over Huddersfield, beating the Dragons 46-14, and last Monday beating Castleford 50-10 to clinch their spot as the five seed. Those were dominating performances, but now that they’ve avoided elimination, do the Red Devils ease off a bit?

Parramatta Eels (-162) vs Melbourne Storm (+125), NRL Thursday 5:50 AM ET

The final round of the 2022 regular season gets underway with a spot for the top four on the line. Both Parramatta and Melbourne are tied with 32 points so whoever wins this game gets awarded the double chance. The Eels picked up a 28-24 victory on the road in round three so they have value here in a finals atmosphere.

Sydney Roosters (-132) vs South Sydney Rabbitohs (+108), NRL Friday 5:55 AM ET

We really won’t know what’s fully at stake in Sydney vs South Sydney betting until Friday’s match between Parramatta and Melbourne is over. If the Storm win, then the winner of the Roosters vs. Rabbitohs match gets a home finals contest. If the Eels are victorious, then these two rivals will meet up again in week one, regardless of the outcome.

Sydney has won seven in a row coming into Friday’s tilt.

St. George Illawarra Dragons (+138) vs Brisbane Broncos (-167), NRL Saturday 3:30 AM ET

If Brisbane can beat the Dragons on Saturday, they’ll still need an upset by the last place Wests Tigers over the Raiders to get into the top eight. Who knows if Brisbane fans even want to see their team in the finals, however after an embarrassing 53-6 loss to Parramatta, a 60-12 defeat to Melbourne, and getting upset by Wests Tigers over the past five weeks.
