Let’s get right to it so you can plan your bets against their NRL odds.

NRL Mid-Season Championship Odds Betting Analysis

Odds to Win 2021 NRL Grand Finals

  • Penrith Panthers +190
  • Melbourne Storm +275
  • South Sydney Rabbitohs +550
  • Parramatta Eels +600
  • Sydney Roosters +1000
  • Sea Eagles +2000
  • Canberra Raiders +3000
  • Gold Coast Titans +4000
  • St. George Ilwarra Dragons +5000
  • Newcastle Knights +5000
  • New Zealand Warriors +6600
  • North Queensland Cowboys +10000
  • Brisbane Broncos +20000
  • Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks +15000
  • Wests Tigers +25000
  • Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs +75000

The Favorites

  • Penrith Panthers +190
  • Melbourne Storm +275
  • South Sydney Rabbitohs +550
  • Parramatta Eels +600

Analysis: Penrith (9-0-0) is looking great for the second straight season after going 18-1-1 a year ago. The Panthers have played some stunning defense while limiting the opposition to a league-low 60 points. Penrith is also tied with Parramatta for the league lead in points (260).

Defending champion Melbourne (7-0-2) looks fantastic too as they sit in third place heading into Round 10. The Storm have gone 5-0 on the road but a modest 2-2 on the road. Still, Melbourne won it all last season after finishing second to Penrith in the regular season a year ago with four losses.

South Sydney (7-0-2) is in fourth place in the NRL ladder with 235 points scored and 174 allowed. The Rabbitohs have one home and road loss and have shut down the opposition by allowing just 61 points. Parramatta (8-0-1) has scored a league-high 260 points while conceding 124 points. The Eels have gone 4-0 on the road and look like a team that is undoubtedly going to challenge for the Grand Final win.

The Top Contenders

  • Sydney Roosters +1000
  • Sea Eagles +2000
  • Canberra Raiders +3000

Analysis: The Roosters (6-0-3) are in fifth place in the NRL standings with 254 points scored and 131 allowed. Sydney is 4-0 at home but an uninspiring 2-3 on the road. Still, the 2018 and 2019 champs could get it together on the road over the second half of the season. Manly (4-0-5) is struggling. The Sea Eagles are in ninth place in the ladder and have given up 57 more points than they’ve scored this season. Canberra (3-0-6) is even worse off as they sit in 12th place in the ladder with 173 points scored and 209 conceded. To make matters worse, the Raiders have gone 1-4 at home. Sydney looks like the only ‘real’ contender here no matter what the odds currently say.

The Rest of the Field

  • Gold Coast Titans +4000
  • St. George Ilwarra Dragons +5000
  • Newcastle Knights +5000
  • New Zealand Warriors +6600
  • North Queensland Cowboys +10000
  • Brisbane Broncos +20000
  • Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks +15000
  • Wests Tigers +25000
  • Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs +75000

Analysis: Every team in this group of long shots has a losing record except the St. George Ilwarra Dragons (50-4) who sit in sixth place in the NRL ladder. St. George has scored 193 points while allowing 169 defensively. The Dragons are 3-1 on the road.

As it stands right now, it’s Penrith and everyone else. However, since the Panthers lost only one game a year ago and fell to four-loss Melbourne 26-20 n the 2020 Grand Final, anything is still possible at this point. Still, the Panthers look completely locked in on winning it all this season and they’re going to be very difficult to beat.
