Betting on NRL Round 20: Top Games, Expert Picks & Analysis You Need to See

After a bit of a slim schedule last week due to a lot of byes, we have a full slate coming our way in the NRL this weekend.

We are now about two-thirds of the way through the regular season, and things are as tight as ever.

My Analysis for Round 20 top games

The #1 team is beginning to open up a bit of a gap, but below the Storm, things are about as close as it gets.

It really is beginning to look as though we are going to go all the way down to the final week of the season to figure out which 8 teams will be playing beyond the end of the regular season.

There are some big games coming our way over the next few days, so let’s take a look at 4 we really like to bet on.

Newcastle Knights +121 vs Brisbane Broncos -152

Saturday, July 20, 3:30 AM | Both of these teams are sitting below the cut line right now, so it is a huge game for each of them.

The Knights are sitting on 20 points down in 10th, but they are also just 2 points out of the top 8.

They have the benefit of playing at home this weekend, but that has not been a huge advantage given that they are 4-4 in their own building.

The Broncos are heading in the wrong direction after losing each of their last 4 games, while they are also 3-5 on the road.

This might be an opportunity to play the underdog.

Melbourne Storm +106 vs Sydney Roosters -132

Saturday, July 20, 5:35 AM | As we mentioned earlier in this piece, the Storm are alone at the top, 4 points up on their closest rival, so they will still be on top after this weekend, regardless of how things play out.

They have won 4 in a row and have been very tough to beat at home, going 8-1 in their own building.

The Roosters are down in the #3 spot and can close the gap with a win here.

They have also won each of their last 4 games and have a solid road record of 5-3. This is arguably the matchup of the week.

Penrith Panthers -526 vs Dolphins NRL +349

Saturday, July 20, 12:00 AM | Another huge game between a pair of teams sitting in the top 8.

The Panthers are currently sitting in 2nd place, 4 points back of the Storm, so they really need the win to keep the pressure on as they look to take over the top spot.

They have won 2 of their last 3 games and are winners of 5 of the last 7 at home.

The Dolphins are .500 over the last 4 games, but they also have a better road record than they do at home, going 5-3 in games played away from home.

North Queensland Cowboys -130 vs Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs +104

Sunday, July 21, 4:15 AM | While these teams are separated by 3 places in the standings, they are also just 2 points apart.

The Cowboys are currently down in 8th, sitting on 22 points overall. They have won 2 of their last 3 games, but they have not been entirely convincing at home, going 3-4 in their own building.

The Bulldogs are 5th and on 24 points, and while they have won 2 of their last 3 games, they have had some real issues in road games, going just 1-7 away from home.
