Round 1: Sunday, March 3rd – Sunday, March 10th, 2024

Betting Odds To Win NRL 2024

There is little surprise at the top of the NRL betting, as the Panthers lead the way in terms of winning the NRL in 2024 at +275. However, last season’s Premiership runners-up are very close in the outright betting, with the Brisbane Broncos currently priced up at +350.

The Sydney Roosters are the next best in the betting at +800, while the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Melbourne Storm are the only other teams at single-digit prices at +850 and +920, respectively.

Sydney Roosters vs Brisbane Broncos

Round 1 NRL Odds: Broncos -3.5 / Roosters -175; Broncos +141 / O/U 40.5
Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 at 3:30 EST
Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas

A first look at two of the likely contenders for the top prize in the NRL will take place on the opening night of the season on March 3. The Brisbane Broncos were beaten Grand Finalists last season, and they could be excellent value to go one step better with this youthful side in 2024.

Meanwhile, the Sydney Roosters finished the regular season in seventh after a productive end to the campaign. This youthful side have been knocking on the door of making an impact in the playoffs in recent seasons, and we expect them to kick off the season with a win to raise hopes that they could be set for a monumental campaign.

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles vs South Sydney Rabbitohs

Round 1 NRL Odds: Rabbitohs -1.5 / Rabbitohs -135; Sea Eagles +109 / O/U 41.5
Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 at 1:30 PM
Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas

The 2024 NRL season kicks off this weekend with a showdown between two sides that would have been disappointed with their 2023 outings. Both the Sea Eagles and Rabbitohs missed out on playoff spots last season, but the increased pressure this term will be on the visitors in this opening night showdown.

The Rabbitohs won 12 of their 24 matches this term, but defensively there were huge questions throughout the season. If they have amended that issue, then they could be great value to kick off the season with a win and make a charge for a playoff finish this term.

Melbourne Storm vs Penrith Panthers

Round 1 NRL Odds:
Friday, March 8th, 2024 at 6:00 PM
AAMI Park, Melbourne, Australia

The big match on the opening round of matches will take place on March 8, as we will get an early insight into the leading contenders to win the NRL. The Panthers warmed up for the start of the new NRL season with a disappointing outcome in the 2024 World Club Challenge after losing 16-12 against Wigan.

However, their domestic performances across recent seasons ensure that they remain the team to beat. The Storm will present a challenging opponent on the opening day after winning 16 of their matches in the previous season. However, it could be hard to overlook the Panthers starting the season with an opening day win.

Best 2023 Rugby Odds for this Week: NRL Takes Centre Stage This Weekend

Previous Betting News

All eyes were on the Six Nations last weekend, with the Northern Hemisphere rugby union tournament seeing plenty of action unfold. Ireland extended their lead and have one hand on the trophy now with two games to go, while Scotland and France fought out a tight encounter in Paris.

Weekly Rundown of Rugby Games | NRL Takes Centre Stage This Weekend

Six Nations rugby will take a breather this weekend ahead of Round Four in a fortnight’s time, however, another fantastic competition is about to kick off in the league’s sister code: The NRL.

The world’s largest rugby league competition will get underway this Wednesday EST, with the first of 27 rounds playing out. We break down all of the best bets to take on the opening weekend, and check out the latest rugby odds.

NRL Week One (2-5 March)

With such a feast of rugby league action coming up, here are the best matches we suggest wagering on.

Round one of the NRL will see rugby league action return to the Southern Hemisphere after five months off. Here are the matchups that will take place over the next few days:

Eels vs. Storm

Last season, the Eels and Storm finished fourth and fifth, respectively on the ladder. Opening their 2023 seasons against each other should make for a fantastic clash. To date, the Eels have gone 1-1 in their pre-season, losing to the Panthers and beating the Knights, while the Storm are also 1-1, beating the Warriors and losing to the Roosters.

With their last match ending 22-14 to the Eels, and the one before that 28-24 to the same, the best wager feels like one on the Eels again here. They’re the slight underdog in the betting odds at +109 to -151, making this a healthy bet too.

Dolphins vs. Roosters

Our next match to bet on is an exciting one, with the Dolphins making their NRL debut. The Brisbane-based side will host the Roosters in their opening match, and will be eager to start on a strong note.

The Dolphins have had a mixed pre-season, drawing 22 all with the Cowboys before losing most recently to the Titans 40-16. The Roosters have been slightly better, winning against the Storm 32-23 before losing to the Sea Eagles 28-16.

With the Dolphins new to the competition, and the Roosters finishing sixth last year, this result should favor the visitors. However, the Dolphins will be focused in on getting a win, and have some strong signings already this year. An upset at odds of +553 is not entirely off the cards, but with the Roosters paying -1428 to win, is looking pretty unlikely.

Weekly Rundown of the Top Rugby Games to Must Bet On | December 21st Edition

Rugby English Premiership

The battle for the championship will continue into 2023. The new year will kick off with Bath Rugby and Newcastle Falcons going head-to-head for a chance to increase their points tally for the season. Both teams are far from the top four. Therefore, a win in this game will be perfect for them to get closer to the top spots.

In addition, Exeter Chiefs will visit Saracens for a chance to take something off the leading team. The Saracens will end the season in the top four spots.

However, with games still plenty, they need to be careful not to lose points in their upcoming games. We are in for a ride once the new year comes around.

National Rugby League

The NRL is also returning in 2023. From March, we will get action from one of the best teams in the league. We will get games until October 1. It looks like an incredible showdown, and the games must be exciting because 2022 gave us a fantastic season, with Penrith Panthers winning the title.

In the new season, the Panthers will be looking for a way to retain their title and make it four. South Sydney remains the most successful team in the league. They would come into the new season with their A-game, and we are sure the team will work hard to make the season worthwhile.

United Rugby Championship

Like the English Premiership, the United Rugby Championship will continue into the new year. We are set for the conclusion of the championship in 2023.

Week 11 will continue into 2023, giving us some great matches like Leinster vs. Connacht and the Scarlets vs. Dragons. The showdowns should give us many talking points.

The championship will continue until April, with the teams hoping to gather enough points for the playoffs. You can add this competition to your calendar, especially with the format change that promises to give us an epic showdown between 16 teams.
