Top 2022 Rugby Matches to Bet On: Best NRL Round 24 Games Analysis

The NRL is the league to focus on this weekend as they are in the second to last round of the regular season. Penrith has clinched the minor premiership, but just four points separate seeds two through five. Two points separate seeds six through nine, so there are no guarantees to finals appearances just yet.

Here are some of the top NRL games of the weekend so you can get ready to bet against the Rugby Odds

Weekly Rundown of the Top Rugby Games to Must Bet On | August 24th Edition

Brisbane Broncos vs Parramatta Eels (-4.5)

The Broncos still control their own destiny for a finals berth at 13-9 and are currently in the eight spot on the ladder, but Brisbane also looks like the long season is catching up to the team. The Broncos did get a 28-10 win over the Knights in round 22, but that’s also a bottom-three team.

Brisbane’s recent stretch includes a 60-12 home loss to Melbourne last weekend as well as defeats to the Roosters and the last place Tigers in a devastating upset. The last time the Broncos looked decent was their 36-14 win against the Eels on July 21st.

Parramatta is ready to take control here as they are just two points back from Melbourne for a spot in the top four. Those two clubs have a showdown next weekend, so it’s important the Eels stay within striking distance.

Melbourne Storm (-5.5) vs Sydney Roosters

It looks like the Storm are back in form, winners of four straight that has included handing top-seeded Penrith a rare 16-0 shutout and beating up on Brisbane 60-12 last Friday. Melbourne beat Sydney 26-18 earlier in the season, right as Melbourne was about to go on a stretch of four losses in five games.

Sydney is possibly looking at a finals seed anywhere between fifth or ninth and the last team out. Just four points separate those spots, but the Roosters helped their tiebreaking margin with a dominant 72-6 throttling of Wests Tigers last weekend.

Canberra Raiders (-14.5) vs Manly Sea Eagles

The only thing left for Manly to accomplish this season is to play spoiler to the Raiders. The Sea Eagles are eliminated from finals contention, currently sitting in the 11th seed, but Canberra is still in the hunt as the current nine seed.

Canberra got a great draw by closing out the year against Manly and last place Wests Tigers. Besides that, two of the teams they are chasing – the Roosters and Rabbitohs – will play each other next week, guaranteeing a loss for one of them (barring a draw).

South Sydney Rabbitohs (-6.5) vs North Queensland Cowboys

South Sydney might seem like a somewhat interesting favorite here, considering the Cowboys are currently the two seed, but the Rabbitohs are at home, where they have won eight straight Saturday contests. The Bunnies have also won six straight in the head-to-head series, although three were decided by just one point.

We will see if this week plays out close and sets up some drama for the season finale or if things will pretty much be decided heading into the last round of the year.
