Updated 2018 World Cup Odds to Win – July 9th Edition

France vs Belgium 2018 World Cup Semifinals Betting Preview

France (+160)

  • Confederation: UEFA
  • Head coach: Didier Deschamps
  • Captain: Hugo Lloris
  • FIFA Ranking: 7
  • World Cup Appearances: 15
The French are a team that appears to be getting better as the tournament progresses. They made it through the group stage with a minimum of fuss, but they did not play as well as we expected them to in what was a pretty straightforward group. They stepped it up a gear in the Round of 16, though, taking down Argentina 4-3 in an absolute thriller.

They then disposed of Uruguay 2-0 in the quarter-finals, a great result when you consider that the South Americans had only given up 1 goal in their previous 4 World Cup games. France is in as the favorites now but have a tough semi-final match against Belgium ahead of them. v

Belgium (+220)

  • Confederation: UEFA
  • Head Coach: Roberto Martínez
  • Captain: Eden Hazard
  • FIFA Ranking: 3
  • World Cup Appearances: 13
Belgium has been, without a doubt, the most exciting team to watch at this World Cup. They have been racking up the goals and not relying on just a single player to do their scoring. We have been waiting for this Golden Generation to come good in a major tournament, and it now looks as though it is finally happening.

They have won every game they have played to this point, although they did get a scare in the Round of 16, needing to come from 0-2 down to beat Japan 3-2 with the last kick of the ball. This is a team with a devastating counterattack, which they will try to employ against France.

Croatia v England 2018 World Cup Semifinals Odds & Pick

England (+220)

  • Confederation: UEFA
  • Head coach: Gareth Southgate
  • Captain: Harry Kane
  • FIFA Ranking: 12
  • World Cup Appearances: 15
This is a young England team that came into this tournament with pretty low expectations, yet here they are in the semi-finals. The only loss that this team took came in the group stage against Belgium at a point when they had already booked safe passage into the next round. That loss probably helped, though, as it put England in the weaker side of the knockout stage draw.

England comes in third at the 2018 World Cup Odds to win it all.

They started out with a penalty shootout win over Colombia in the Round of 16 before beating Sweden 2-0 in the quarter-finals, thanks in large part to some goalkeeping heroics from Jordan Pickford.

Croatia (+330)

  • Confederation: UEFA
  • Head coach: Zlatko Dalić
  • Captain: Luka Modric
  • FIFA Ranking: 20
  • World Cup Appearances: 5
Croatia came out of the group stage with a lot of people talking about them as a potential dark horse to win it all, especially after their 3-0 dismantling of Argentina. Their stock has fallen a lot since then, though, as they have needed penalty shootouts to get past Denmark and Russia in the knockout stage.

While you can argue that they have had some luck to get through, the reality is that they are continually finding ways to win, so they should certainly not be discounted. It will be England that they see in the next round, with a trip to the final going to the victor.
