CONCACAF 2021 Gold Cup Matches to Bet On July 13th
Gold Cup Group Stage Matches
- When: Tuesday, July 10 – Tuesday, July 20
Panama +220 vs Qatar +126
- When: Tuesday, July 13
Based on Panama’s last 2 matches, they look like a play against versus scorching Qatar. On June 15, Panama drew 0-0 with Curacao in a CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying match. Then in their last, Mexico drubbed Panama 3-0.
Not only is it hot in Qatar, but the World Cup hosts are also on fire. Qatar has won 4 straight, including beating EURO 2020 Round of 16 participant Croatia 3-1 on June 30 and well-regarded CONCACAF squad El Salvador 0-1 on July 4.
But even though Qatar looks like the better play, we must consider their last 4 victories. The AFC – World Cup Qualifying wins against India, who doesn’t spend nearly as much time readying their soccer team as they do their cricket team, and Oman weren’t impressive. Qatar beat both by a goal.
Qatar beat Croatia in a non-FIFA friendly and El Salvador in an international friendly. Panama’s loss to Mexico was in an international friendly. With something on the line, Panama should play much better.
Soccer Pick: Panama
Grenada +2 ½ (-166) Vs Honduras -2 ½ (+125)
- When: Tuesday, July 13
Honduras is in terrific form. One of the highest-rated teams in the CONCACAF, Honduras beat Costa Rica in a penalty shootout on June 6. Then on June 12, Honduras drew with Mexico 0-0. Based on those two games alone, Honduras should win this match.
So the real question is whether Honduras can score enough goals to beat Grenada on the handicap. Grenada’s form says they keep this close. Although Grenada has lost 3-of-5 and 2 straight, not a single loss happened by more than 2 goals. In fact, of the 3 losses, El Salvador is the lone squad to beat Grenada by 2 goals.
Even though Grenada shows form that makes them competitive, history says Honduras rolls their rivals. In 2009, Honduras beat Grenada 4-0. In the last head-to-head in 2017, Honduras dusted Grenada 7-1.
Grenada and Honduras are much different teams than the two that faced off in 2017, but a similar result could await Grenada. We’re laying the 2 ½ goals.
Soccer Pick: Honduras
