CONCACAF 2021 Gold Cup Matches to Must Bet On July 25th
Canada +190 Vs Costa Rica +155
- When: Sunday, July 25
Although Canada entered the Gold Cup tournament without Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies, he suffered an ankle injury before Canada’s first match, the Canadians played great during the group stage.
In their first match, Canada blasted Martinique 4-1. Then on July 15 in their second Gold Cup contest, Canada prevailed 4-1 again, this time over Haiti. Even the 0-1 loss to the United States impressed because Canada was a huge underdog.
Costa Rica has impressed as much as Canada has. Los Ticos began their quest for CONCACAF glory with a 3-1 victory over Guadeloupe. On July 16, Costa Rica beat Suriname 2-1. Then in their match with Jamaica on July 20, the Costa Ricans prevailed 1-0.
Canada offers slightly better odds. But Los Ticos is the play. The main reason why is because Costa Rica has that look of a Gold Cup winner. In the victory over Jamaica, Costa Rica allowed Jamaica to control possession.
Los Ticos didn’t require a victory. So they played a defense first match. Expect Costa Rica to be more aggressive on Sunday. Although missing Davies has yet to hurt Canada, it should in this match. Los Ticos moves to the semifinals.
Soccer Pick: Costa Rica
Jamaica +400 Vs United States -163
- When: Sunday, July 25
It’s never a good idea to lay odds in a soccer match between a couple of rival nations. But in Sunday’s CONCACAF Gold Cup battle between Jamaica and the United States, the U.S. should easily prevail.
Sure, the United States didn’t play well against Canada. But the U.S. knew they had more work to do during the tournament. Versus Canada, the Americans didn’t go all out the way they will versus Jamaica.
The reason to like the United States is that even though Jamaica has some talent, it’s not on USA’s level. More importantly, the last time these two battled, the United States beat Jamaica 4-1.
Expect the United States to put on a show. If MyBookie offers a handicap at -1 ½ on the U.S. , consider backing the Americans. If they don’t, accept the -163 on the moneyline with confidence.
Soccer Pick: United States
