German Bundesliga Betting News and Rumors for the 2021-22 Season June 2nd Edition

2021-2022 Bundesliga Season

Bayern about to get busy

Bayern has already made a couple of big moves. The Bavarians released Jerome Boateng shortly after club play ended. Boateng has been linked with teams in Serie A, La Liga, and the Premier.

BM also confirmed David Alaba’s free transfer to Real Madrid. For Bayern to allow Alaba to leave without anything in return speaks to their confidence.

Bayern could make another big confidence boosting move. Soon, rumor has it the Bavarians are going to release seven players. The seven are Alex Nubel, Niklas Sule, Corentin Tolisso, Bouna Sarr, Michael Cuisance, Adrian Fein, and Joshua Zirkzee.

Sarr, Cuisance, Fein, and Zirkzee are for sale. Bayern wants to keep Nubel, but the 24-year-old says he wants more playing time. Sule wants to move to England. Tolisso has had injury issues.

Bayern doesn’t have a problem releasing so many players because Munich never sits still. New Bayern general manager Julian Nagelsmann hopes to transfer Inter Milano player Ashraf Hakimi.

But if it doesn’t work out with Hakimi, Nagelsmann may have a backup plan. Ajax player Noussair Mazraoui could be a prime target.

Expect Nagelsmann to go hard after Mazraoui or Hakimi or both. Nagelsmann must show Bayern won’t miss a step and since this is his first transfer window as GM, he’ll want to make a splash.

Man United, Chelsea, and Arsenal want Edmund Tapsoba

Three teams appear on the hunt for Leverkusen player Edmund Tapsoba. Arsenal, Man United, and Chelsea want the highly rated center-back.

Although Leverkusen director Simon Rolfers has said Tapsoba isn’t for sale, most believe a transfer fee of 50 million euros could get Rolfers attention.

One of the issues Rolfers faces is selling Tapsoba high or waiting. Tapsoba is under contract with Leverkusen until 2026. Who knows what will happen 5 years from now?

If Tapsoba suffers an injury, or just isn’t in demand a year or two years from now, Rolfers will have missed his chance.

Man U prefers Dortmund’s Sancho over teammate Haaland

Manchester United has wanted Jadon Sancho for a while. During last year’s transfer window, Man U went hard after Sancho. But United couldn’t make a deal with Dortmund, which is why this season Sancho and Haaland both played for Borussia.

Why Sancho over Haaland? The main reason appears to be money. The transfer fee for Sancho should be enormous. It won’t be enormously extravagant like what the transfer fee for Haaland will be.

Man United said they’re willing to wait on Haaland but that they want to do the deal for Sancho this summer. Haaland could get a deal from several clubs, many of which are in the Premier League.

Dortmund has a few decisions to make. Although Haaland and Sancho are fantastic players, having both on their squad hasn’t closed the gap on Bayern.

Borussia won the German DFB Pokal this season. But that pales in comparison to a Bundesliga title and a Champions League trophy. Dortmund must think about that before turning down whatever offers they get for Haaland and the offer they get from Manchester United for Sancho.
