Inter Milano plays As Roma, Juventus, and Udinese in their final 3 matches. Although Inter has sewn up the Serie A title, don’t expect Lautaro Martinez, Romelu Lukaku, and the rest to take it easy. Like the best soccer squads in every league, Inter Milano wants to win as many games as possible.
Teams battling for next season’s UEFA Champions League spots
The four top finishers in Serie A this season secure automatic bids for the next season’s Champions League. Inter Milano hast notched their UCL bid.
But after Inter, teams are jockeying for the final three spots. Atalanta and AC Milan have 72 points. Napoli has 70. Juventus has 69.
Atalanta plays Juventus on May 18. AC Milan travels to Atalanta on May 23. AC and Atalanta should secure spots. Napoli and Juventus will fight to the final matchday for their Champions League bids.
Juventus’ toughest match is on May 15 when they take on Inter Milano. The team that signs Ronaldo’s paycheck has a brutal road to secure a UCL spot. Inter won’t let up, which means Juvy will have to earn their bid.
Ronaldo may not return to Juventus
On March 24, Ronaldo said he’s willing to leave Juventus and return to Real Madrid. A few years ago, Ronaldo wanted out of Real. He got his wish.
But as is often the case, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Ronaldo and Juventus have struggled since the Great One entered Italy.
Per Marco Luz, “He left Madrid for Turin with the understanding that he would be the center of a project aimed at winning the Champions League, in an attempt to make Juventus the European force that Real Madrid had been,” the report said.
“But things haven’t gone that way, and he has only made it as far as the quarterfinals once. Due to those struggles, he’s ready to leave Juventus.”
Some have mentioned Manchester United as a landing spot. Others have said it’s time for Ronaldo to head to the Euro soccer star graveyard, Major League Soccer.
No matter where Ronaldo ends up, his stint with Juventus appears to be finished.
