While Sevilla and Inter have clearly been two of the best teams in the Europa League this season, I’ve got to go with unbeaten Inter to get it done, mostly because they’ll have the best player on the pitch in superstar striker Romelu Lukaku, who has set a new league record by finding the back of the net in a mind-boggling 10 straight matches.
While Sevilla has been fantastic defensively, Inter just keeps finding ways to win, even if they get into a hard-fought ‘street brawl’ kind of matchup. Lukaku scored a team-high 23 goals in 36 Serie A matches this season and he, along with teammate Lauturo Martinez (14 goals) established themselves as the highest-scoring duo in Europe’s top-flight following their blowout win of Shakhtar Donetsk. I’m expecting Sevilla to keep it close because of their defense, but Inter can score at literally any moment and that’s why they’ll win this huge Europa League clash.
