There is plenty of action outside of the traditional Soccer calendar going on right now to keep soccer enthusiasts busy.
For people seeking an international flavor, we have the EURO 2024 going on plus what’s on the Copa America calendar as both events are in full force.
Major League Soccer, which plays a non-traditional calendar due to avoid competition with other sports in the United States, is in the thick of its regular season.
Here’s a look at what to expect Wednesday night.
Writer’s Picks: MLS Matchday 24 Games to Bet On
Charlotte Seeks Place in Top Five
Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024 – 7:30 PM
The biggest difference between Inter Miami from this season and last season is how they perform when Lionel Messi isn’t available.
With Messi playing in Copa America, Inter Miami has picked up three straight wins and scored two goals apiece in each match.
But this should catch up with the Herons eventually, right?
Inter Miami will travel to Charlotte tonight to take on a surprising Charlotte SC squad.
After a few seasons figuring things out, Charlotte has surged to sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Charlotte has won three of its past five matches.
While Charlotte saw some of its momentum halted last time out with a 1 loss to Dynamo FC, they have been good at home this season.
Charlotte is +108 on the three-way moneyline, while Inter Miami is +250.
Back Charlotte to win and this match to go over 2.5 goals.
MLS Pick: Charlotte FC
FC Cincinnati Seeks Win on the Road
Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024 – 7:30 PM
FC Cincinnati is once again off to a solid start to this season.
The Orange and Blue have won 10 of their previous 12 matches.
During that stretch, FC Cincinnati have scored at a good rate and have been overwhelming some of their opponents.
Luciano Acosta has been the top attacker for FC Cincinnati.
Acosta has scored nine goals and handed out 14 assists.
D.C. United hasn’t won a match since it beat Atlanta United on May 11th.
D.C. United has been on a nine-match winles / Look at Draw Line streak. D.C. United has allowed two or more goals in four of their previous six matches.
FC Cincinnati is +150 on the three-way moneyline.
D.C. United is +165 to win in regulation, while the match is +250 to end in a draw.
The over/under has been set at 2.5 goals.
MLS Pick: D.C. United / Pay Attention to the Draw Line
Can Minnesota United Turn Things Around?
Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024 – 8:30 PM
The Loons enter this match on a difficult run of play. Minnesota United is on a five-way winless streak.
The Loons have struggled defensively, allowing two or more goals in three of their past four matches.
During this streak, Minnesota has failed to score twice.
While the scoreline looked close during their 3-2 loss to Portland last weekend, Minnesota allowed an XG of 4.0.
The Loons will need to do better against Vancouver.
The Whitecaps bounced back during their last match with a 4-3 win over St. Louis.Vancouver has variety at the top of its attack.
Ryan Gauld and Brian White also scored nine and eight goals, respectively.
Vancouver is +210 on the three-way moneyline, while Minnesota United is +108.
The match is +280 to end in a draw.
Back the Whitecaps to win on the road.
MLS Pick: Vancouver Whitecaps

Top 2022 MLS Week 24 Matches to Bet On Throughout the Week
Previous Betting News
Major League Soccer has a busy week. Games start on Tuesday and last until Saturday. One of Tuesday’s most interesting contests pits the Seattle Sounders against FC Dallas. On Saturday, Toronto FC heads to Nashville looking to pull off the upset win. See below for MLS Odds, analysis, and free picks for six of this week’s top MLS matchups.
Top Major League Soccer Betting Games from Tuesday, Aug. 2nd and Saturday, Aug. 6th
FC Dallas +280 vs Seattle Sounders -109
Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 10:00 pm ET
Seattle is the chalk because this happens because at Lumens Field. But the favorite isn’t playing well. Seattle has lost 4-of-5, including dropping a match to LAFC on July 29.
Dallas has won 2 straight. The underdog in this beat Real Salt Lake 1-0 on July 23. Seven days later on July 30, Dallas bested L.A. Galaxy 1-0. The underdog is worth a look.
Soccer Pick: FC Dallas
DC United +270 vs Charlotte FC -107
Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 10:00 pm ET
Road team D.C. United looks up against it versus favored Charlotte. United has lost 4-of-5 with a draw.
Charlotte has won 3-of-5. Ah, but Charlotte lost their last to Toronto and it wasn’t close, falling 0-4. Also, the last time these two faced off, the match happened in February, D.C. won 3-0. United gets the nod.
Soccer Pick: D.C. United
CF Montreal +235 vs Columbus Crew +108
Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 10:00 pm ET
It feels like Columbus offers overlay odds to win this. Montreal has won 2-of-3 with a draw. But one of the wins was versus second to last place squad Toronto.
Columbus is at home and has won 2-of-5 with 3 draws. The Crew won the last head-to-head 2-1. At anything above even money, Columbus is the better play.
Soccer Pick: Columbus Crew
Inter Miami CF +240 vs San Jose Earthquakes +102
Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 10:00 pm ET
Neither Miami nor San Jose is playing well. San Jose beat the Galaxy 3-2 on July 13. Since then, the Earthquakes have lost twice and drawn twice.
Inter Miami beat Charlotte 3-2 on July 16. Since their last victory, the underdog in this has lost twice and drawn once.
This can go either way, but Miami is giving up a lot of goals. Barcelona beat them 6-0 in a club friendly and then Cincinnati forced a 4-4 draw. San Jose is the best play.
Soccer Pick: San Jose Earthquakes
Houston Dynamo +205 vs Vancouver Whitecaps +119
Friday, Aug. 5 at 10:30 pm ET
The Whitecaps have drawn 3 and lost 1 in their last 4. Houston has won a match and lost 3 in their last 4.
On March 12, in the last head-to-head, Houston beat Vancouver 2-1. The match was in Houston. This contest takes place in Vancouver. The Whitecaps can turn the tables.
Soccer Pick: Vancouver Whitecaps
Toronto FC +350 vs Nashville SC -149
Saturday, Aug. 6 at 8:00 pm ET
Each team has a win, 2 losses, and a couple of draws in their last 5. The difference between each team is that this happens on Nashville’s pitch.
That’s not enough of a difference to lay -149 on the home favorite to get it done. Toronto is good enough to win this straight up. The better play feels like the draw.
The road squad in this won the last head-to-head. But in the head-to-head before, Toronto and Nashville drew. Another draw is probable.
Soccer Pick: Draw

Top 2022 MLS Matches to Bet On the Weekend: NYCFC vs CF Montreal, Galaxy vs Dallas Analysis
Previous Betting News
The final matchweek of July is upon us in MLS action, and most teams have 12 games remaining in the regular season. This weekend’s slate includes 26 of the 28 teams on the field. New York Red Bulls, who lost in the U.S. Open Cup semifinals on Wednesday, will host Colorado Rapids next Tuesday while the other teams are all in action.
Both conferences have just one matchup this weekend featuring the top seven teams going head-to-head. LAFC has distanced themselves atop the Western Conference by four points over Austin, and both teams play opponents in the bottom six of the standings this weekend. Philadelphia Union, atop the East by one point, faces Houston Dynamo, who sit 11th in the West.
The top two games this weekend give us one in each conference to look at. In the East, second place NYCFC heads to fourth place CF Montreal for a Saturday afternoon tilt. Saturday night, the focus turns to the West as fifth-place FC Dallas hosts seventh-place LA Galaxy. Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming matches so you can bet against their MLS lines for the games.
Top Major League Soccer Betting Games for Saturday, July 23rd and Sunday, July 24th
New Look NYCFC Head to Montreal
NYCFC could end the week in first place in the Eastern Conference, but their leading scorer is headed to Spain. Taty Castellanos, the reigning Golden Boot winner in MLS, has been loaned to Girona for the 2022-23 La Liga season. He currently leads the league again with 13 goals, and NYCFC heads to Montreal in need of a striker to take his place.
The Boys in Blue are one point behind Philadelphia in the standings, and they have played one less game. Meanwhile, CF Montreal is in fourth place in the East, six points behind NYCFC. They are 6-4 at home this season and changed goalies just two weeks ago to James Pantemis.
Pantemis will have to shut down the NYCFC offense that has 14 goals in the last six games and has scored in every game since May 7. Maxi Moralez and Heber both scored against Inter Miami last week, while Talles Magno has been a big boost this season. The 21-year-old has five goals and six assists, while Heber has six goals on the season.
For the hosts, Djordje Mihailovic is back from injury, though he’s yet to play a full 90 minutes in his two appearances. Romell Quioto has the last three goals scored by a Montreal player, including both goals in the 2-1 win at D.C. United. Those two have combined for 16 goals on the season, and no other Montreal player has more than three.
At MyBookie, NYCFC is a slight road favorite at +145. CF Montreal is +155 to take all three points, and a draw is +255. Over 2.5 goals is -153 and under 2.5 goals is +121.
Galaxy Head to Dallas in Need of a Win
The Galaxy have struggled playing in Texas with five straight losses at FC Dallas. They also lost six straight games in Dallas back in the early 2000s, and a loss Saturday would equal that streak.
FC Dallas got back in the win column last weekend after seven straight winless games. They managed four draws in that stretch, including two against second-place Austin FC.
Jesus Ferreira got back on the score sheet Saturday in Salt Lake with his 12th goal of the season. He is third in MLS in scoring and has two goals in the last four games. He scored a brace as Dallas beat the Galaxy in Los Angeles 3-1 in May.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy also stopped a downward slide last weekend. They beat Atlanta United 2-0 after losing three straight games to Western Conference opponents. They have scored at least two goals in five of their last six games, but they lost three of those games 3-2.
Mexican striker Chicharito has just one goal in his last five starts and only two since April 9. Super sub Devan Joveljic has surpassed him for the team lead in goals with nine, eight of which have come in his last eight appearances.
At MyBookie, FC Dallas is +117 to win at home while the Galaxy are +225 to win. A draw is +245, over 2.5 goals is -131, and under 2.5 goals is +103.

Top MLS Games to Bet On the Week
2021 MLS Matches
Wednesday, August 4
Wednesday, August 4th Matches
Atlanta United FC +205 / CF Montreal +115
Montreal steps onto the pitch on a 3-match losing streak. Atlanta U has lost 3-of-5 with a couple of draws. The ATL beat Montreal 1-0 in the last head-to-head. In the match before, though, these two drew. Another draw is a possibility.
Soccer Pick: Draw
DC United +330 / Columbus Crew -117
Up until July 30, when New York City beat Columbus 4-1, the Crew had played well. Columbus had 2 wins and 2 draws in their 4 matches before the NYC loss. DC United drew 0-0 with Cincinnati in their last. On May 8, Columbus blasted DC 3-1. Expect another 2 goal Crew victory.
Soccer Pick: Columbus Crew
Toronto FC +370 / Philadelphia Union -161
Philly Union shows a couple of draws in their last 2 matches, 1-1 agianst Inter Miami on July 25, and another 1-1 contest versus Chicago Fire on August 1. Toronto shows 3 draws and a couple of wins in their last 5. The odds make Philadelphia an underlay while Toronto is an overlay. Toronto or the draw are the two best plays. We’re going with the draw.
Soccer Pick: Draw
New York City FC -106 / Chicago Fire +240
New York City is the hottest team in MLS. NYCFC has won 3 straight, including dusting the Columbus Crew 4-1 on July 30. The 5-0 victory against Orlando City on July 25 also impresses. Chicago Fire has drawn twice and lost twice in their last 4. New York should roll.
Soccer Pick: New York City FC
Inter Miami CF +330 / Orlando City SC -147
Orlando City bounced back well after the July 25 loss to New York. Orlando beat Atlanta United 3-2 on July 30. Inter Miami heads into this after beating CF Montreal 2-1 on July 31, but Orlando City appears back on track.
Soccer Pick: Orlando City SC
Houston Dynamo +320 / Austin FC -120
Austin has lost 3 straight. The Dynamo has drawn in 3 straight. Austin has the edge because this happens on their pitch. Houston, though, is not without a shot and the odds make the Dynamo an overlay.
Soccer Pick: Houston Dynamo
FC Dallas +330 / Seattle Sounders -133
Seattle has fallen on tough times. The Sounders have lost 3-of-4, including dropping a match to San Jose on July 31. FC Dallas is on a 2-match winning streak. Dallas shouldn’t make it three in a row, but the odds warrant backing.
Soccer Pick: FC Dallas
Real Salt Lake +230 / Los Angeles Galaxy +103
Real Salt Lake shows better overall form, but the Galaxy may have turned a corner with their last match. Los Angeles beat Portland 4-1. This happens on the Galaxy’s field, which should give L.A. a slight edge. The odds on the home squad are more than fair.
Soccer Pick: Los Angeles Galaxy
Sporting Kansas City +420 / Los Angeles FC -169
Sporting Kansas City enters this match after losing 2-1 versus Dallas on July 31. LAFC has drawn in 2 straight. The odds on Los Angeles imply they easily win this, but KC won the last head-to-head. The last match happened not too long ago on June 26. The road team gets the nod.
Soccer Pick: Sporting Kansas City
San Jose Earthquakes +280 / Portland Timbers -126
San Jose shows 4 draws and a win in their last 5. Portland has lost 2 straight. Even though the Timbers won the last head-to-head, the Earthquakes are worth a look. San Jose is in better form than Portland. Not only that, but the odds make the Quakes close to an overlay.
Soccer Pick: San Jose Earthquakes

MLS Odds & Picks for July 23th Games
Okay MyBookie soccer betting faithful, with both Los Angeles-based teams taking to the pitch for their respective matches on Thursday night, it’s time to find out which clubs are offering the best value against their soccer betting odds. First the LA Galaxy will take on the Houston Dynamo in a pairing of winless teams while Los Angeles FC battles a nearly unblemished Portland squad. With all four teams going all-out for the win, let’s find out where the best betting value lies in both matchups so you can place your bets against their MLS odds.
MLS July 23th Games – Both Los Angeles Teams In Action Tonight!
LA Galaxy (0-1-3) vs. Houston Dynamo (0-2-2)
Analysis: The Galaxy are sitting in last place in the Western Conference and have dropped three straight since opening their season with a draw. L.A. has lost both of its games since the restart and comes into this affair off a pitiful 6-2 loss against LAFC on Saturday. The Galaxy have managed to score just four goals while allowing 10 defensively (-6). Houston is one spot above the Galaxy in the Western Conference standings. The Dynamo has gone 0-1-1 in two matches since the restart, but comes into this clash off a hard-fought 2-1 loss against Portland on Saturday. Houston has scored five goals this season while allowing 10 defensively (-5).
When: Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 8:00 PM ET
Where: Disney Wide World of Sports Complex, Orlando, FL
LA Galaxy Vs Houston Dynamo Live: ESPN
Money Lines: LA Galaxy +150 / Houston +138 / Draw +324
Prediction
While these two rivals played to a 1-1 draw the last time they met back in February, Houston has also managed to win three of the last five meetings while scoring at least three goals in each victory. With that said, there’s no way I can bring myself to place a wager on an LA Galaxy team that looked like it flat-out quit in their last match. I’m going with Houston to get it done by a pair of goals in this meeting of 2020 championship long shots.
Pick: Houston 3 LA Galaxy 1
Los Angeles FC (2-2-0) vs Portland Timbers (3-0-1)
Analysis: LAFC is in fourth place in the Western Conference standings. They’re tied with a league-high 13 goals this season while allowing eight goals defensively (+5). Los Angeles comes into this clash off a emphatic 6-2 smackdown win over the in-city rival LA Galaxy on Saturday. Portland is in third place in the Western Conference. The Timbers have won three straight and two in a row since the restart, including a pair of 2-1 wins against the Galaxy and most recently, Houston on Saturday. Portland has put six goals on the board in 2020 while allowing five goals defensively (+1).
When: Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 10:30 PM ET
Where: Disney Wide World of Sports Complex, Orlando, FL
LAFC Vs Portland Timbers Live: ESPN
Handicap: LAFC -1
Money Line: Los Angeles FC -167 / Portland +400 / Draw +320
Prediction
Portland picked up a hard-fought 2-1 win over LAFC the last time they met on July 10 to snap a three-game losing streak in this rivalry and right now, they look like the more consistent team at both ends of the pitch. I know LAFC just erupted for six goals in their last match, but Portland has a solid defense that has held nine of their last 10 opponents to two goals or less. I’m completely stunned that LAFC is such a huge favorite against an opponent that has yet to taste defeat. Get on the gravy train MLS betting buffs. Portland is offering a ton of value in this one!
Pick: Portland 3 LAFC 2
