Columbus crushed the Red Bulls in NYRB’s last. The Crew faced the Red Bulls at home and disappoint their fans in a 3-0 domination victory.
Inter Miami required 2 goals from Luis Suarez to get by D.C. United in a 3-1 win in their last. Messi didn’t play in the match and Inter M still rolled. The +200 odds make Miami the play.

Orlando City SC vs Austin FC
MLS Odds: Orlando City SC -150 vs Austin FC +375
Saturday, March 23rd at 10:30 pm ET
Inter&Co Stadium, Orlando, Florida, USA
Austin isn’t dominating, but the massive road team has drawn in 3 straight and 4-of-5. Then in their lone loss in the last 5, Austin fell by a goal to Minnesota.
Orlando City has lost 4-of-5 with a draw. The odds don’t make much sense in this one. Sure, Orlando has the edge because this is on their pitch. But +375 on Austin? Grab the overlay odds on the road squad.

On March 2, Real Salt Lake impressed with a 3-0 win over LAFC. But Real SL, overall, is in bad form with 3 losses and a draw in their other 5 matches.
Vancouver is on a 2-match winning streak: 2-0 versus San Jose and 3-1 against Dallas. The home team offers a fair number to beat their road rivals. Back the Whitecaps to cash.

Saturday, March 23rd at 10:30 pm ET

In their last 3, St. Louis City shows a win and 2 draws. The victory was a 2-0 match against New York City. The draws came against Austin and the Galaxy.
D.C. United drew twice before losing 3-1 to Inter Miami. St. Louis can win this for sure, but D.C. U should bounce back from the dreadful performance. The draw is the play.

Nashville won their last, which makes them the solid play at +1 and -115. Another reason to back Nashville? LAFC’s form is a disaster.
The home chalk has lost 3-of-5 with a single win and a draw in their other 2 matches. In their last, Minnesota drubbed LAFC 2-0. Grab the +1 on Nashville.

Philadelphia shows 3 draws and a couple of losses in their last 5. Portland has home pitch advantage. The odds on the favorite are decent.

Previous Betting News
Inter Miami hopes to turnaround their form on Wednesday when Lionel Messi and his mates host Charlotte FC. Since the early days of Messi’s arrival, when Inter M seemed unbeatable, the MLS squad in Miami has struggled.
Messi has played through various nagging injuries and sitting on the bench for some matches.
Will Lionel and his mates win their second to last match of the MLS Season? Or will Charlotte add to Inter’s woes?

Why Bet on Charlotte FC versus Inter Miami
Although Charlotte doesn’t boast name players like Messi and Sergio Busquets, the road team is in better form than Inter M.
After a draw and 2 straight losses, Charlotte bounced back with a stunning 3-0 victory over Toronto and an impressive 2-0 win against Chicago.
Versus Toronto, Charlotte controlled possession 61.8% to 38.2%. Charlotte took 6 shots on goal to Toronto’s 3. Then against Chicago, Charlotte only had possession 54.7% of the time and only took 7 shots. But Charlotte was efficient, shooting on goal with 5-of-7 attempts.
Why Bet on Inter Miami versus Charlotte FC
Although Miami has lost 3-of-4, Messi’s side has excuses for most of the losses. The 4-1 defeat to Chicago is the only inexplicable defeat.
Falling to Cincinnati 1-0 makes sense because Cincinnati is the best team in Major League Soccer. Losing to the Houston Dynamo 2-1 in the U.S. Open Cup Finals also makes sense because Messi didn’t play.
The draw versus New York City FC without Messi stepping onto the pitch is somewhat of a victory. If Messi plays just a half on Wednesday night, Inter Miami will have a chance at the win.
Final Betting Analysis: Inter Miami vs Charlotte FC
If Messi starts and plays, there’s no guarantee Inter M beats Charlotte simply because they’re in awful form, fumbling their way to the end of the regular season.
Inter Miami will not play in the MLS postseason. So there’s no reason to put Messi in harm’s way unless for pride, and with a tour in China coming up, it’s doubtful Inter Miami goes all out to win a meaningless match by sending Messi to the pitch for more than 20 minutes.
Charlotte can make the playoffs if they beat Inter M on Wednesday night and then on Saturday in the rematch in Charlotte. If that happens, Charlotte will enter the playoffs the eighth seed.
Because they’ve got more at stake, Charlotte is the team to back. Also, the odds make the road squad more than playable.

2020 Major Soccer Leagues Estimate Return Dates & Status
Previous Betting News
There are signs that the professional sports leagues across the globe are beginning to look at returning to action, with several already back in action or announcing a tentative return date. Given the popularity of the sport, it is perhaps not surprising that it is soccer that is leading the way in getting back to business. While not every soccer league is on board with a return, which we will discuss further in a moment, many more are ready to get back although all seem intent on playing the remainder of the season behind closed doors. Safety is paramount here, which is why all dates mentioned in the following piece need to be considered tentative. Let’s take a closer look at what each major league is doing and their soccer odds.
Major Soccer Leagues Estimate Return Dates & Status
Bundesliga (Germany)
This was the first league to announce that they would be returning to action, which essentially set the domino effect in motion. The Bundesliga will be heading into their third full week back in business this coming weekend, and while they are committed to playing without fans in attendance, they have done some things to make the TV viewing a little more easy on the eye. Some teams are using cardboard cutouts of fans in the seats, while others are piping in crowd noise.
English Premier League
After allowing players to resume contact training earlier this week, the EPL formally announced that the season would resume on June 17, with the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup also expected to resume. In an effort to ensure fans stay away from gathering outside stadiums, there is a potential plan to play bigger games at neutral venues. Every game will be staggered, with each one set to be shown live on TV in the UK. There is basically going to be football on TV for 5 days per week if the plan goes ahead as expected, which is great news for fans and bettors across the world looking for soccer odds.
La Liga (Spain)
Once the Spanish government announced that sports would be allowed to resume on June 8, you knew that La Liga would not be long in pulling the trigger on resuming the season. That has indeed been the case, as they will get things rolling again beginning on June 11. There are still 11 rounds of games to be played, but the league has committed to playing games every day so that the season can be completed by July 19, with all games set to go off behind closed doors.
Serie A (Italy)
Given how bad the coronavirus got in Italy, there was a strong belief that it might be quite some time before we got to see the Serie A back in action. That has not proven to be the case, though, as the league will return on June 20. This return is a little stricter, though, as the government has made it clear that they will call for a suspension of play if cases begin to spike again in Italy.
Still to be Decided
While some teams in the Serie A in Brazil returned to training this week, there is no official date for a return. There is talk of a June restart, but reports indicate that many players are not on board with the idea of getting back to action.
The MLS is reportedly in talks to have players head to Orlando, Florida on June 21, after which they would host a return to play tournament in that city. There are a lot of details still to be ironed out, so this is all still very much up in the air.
Leagues Not Returning
Ligue 1 in France have already pulled the plug on their season, declaring PSG as the champions. It is a similar story in Scotland, with Celtic being crowned champions after the Premier League season was officially cancelled. MyBookie bettors, expect until next year for soccer odds to come back for the already cancelled leagues.
2015 Soccer Betting Preview: Take The Sounders @ Home Vs. LA Galaxy
Previous Betting News
One of the things that makes the MLS so much fun to watch for soccer betting fans is the competitive balance that has been attained by the league. Yes, some teams have more money to spend on designated players, but doing so can leave them weak in other areas as some online betting fans can notice. The teams that spend the most seldom win it all, which makes the playoffs all the more exciting. Two of the biggest spenders will go head to head in a 1-game playoff when the LA Galaxy head to Seattle to face the Sounders on Thursday night.
Galaxy @ Sounders MLS Playoff Game Information and Soccer Lines
Date/Time: Wednesday, October 28, 2015 10:00 PM ET
Venue: Century Link Field
Opening Lines: Seattle +130, Los Angeles +226
With just a couple of weeks to go in the season, the Galaxy appeared to have their Western Conference semi-final berth all but locked up. Unbelievably, they ended up dropping down all the way to 5th place in the conference after getting thumped 5-2 by the Timbers at home, and then following that up with a road loss to Sporting Kansas City on the final day of the season. This is a team that has looked disjointed and disinterested for quite some time now, with the likes of Steven Gerrard and Giovanni dos Santos failing to make the sort of impact that was expected of them.
Were it not for Robbie Keane banging in the goals at a prolific rate, this team may very well have slipped out of playoff contention altogether. They most certainly did not expect to be in this game, and they would have hoped that if they did have to go this route, that it would not go through Seattle.
The Seattle Sounders are a team that is seeing their window of opportunity begin to close in a real hurry. They have spent a ton of money over the years, but have routinely fallen at the first playoff hurdle. You have to wonder how long Sigi Schmid will hang on to his coaching position if a championship is not delivered this season. The Sounders are tied for first in goals against in the Western Conference this season, and they are particularly hard to break down when playing in front of a packed crowd at home.
The combination of Clint Dempsey and Obafemi Martins is starting to click again, as both are now back at full fitness, which was not the case for large portions of the season. Seattle looked very strong in rolling over Real Salt Lake in the final game of the season, and have to be confident about taking out a Galaxy team that only won 2 games on the road all season long.
Consider This Before Placing Your Bet
The LA Galaxy have won championships in recent years, and have the experience to get the job done. That said, this is a group that looks far removed from those great teams, and they a defense that is suspect at best. I like the Seattle Sounders to come away with a 2-1 win.
2015 Soccer Odds Preview: Go with DC @ Home vs Revolution
Previous Betting News
Making it to the playoffs in the MLS is a little easier than in most professional sports, with 6 teams from each conference making it in. That said soccer odds fans, it is only the top 2 in each conference that have what would be considered the easier route to the final. The remaining 4 playoff teams in the East and the West have to go into a 1-game knockout game that can see their season end in 90 minutes. The first of those match-ups is set for Wednesday night, when the New England Revolution go on the road to face DC United.
Revolution @ DC United MLS Playoff Game Information and Soccer Lines
Date/Time: Wednesday, October 28, 2015 7:30 PM ET
Venue: RFK Stadium
Opening Lines: Washington +178, DC United +167
This is a game that most online betting fans would expect DC United to win, especially since they have the home field edge, but it is perhaps not as clear cut as it would appear. DC were certainly dominant at home, racking up 11 wins there this season, and they also have one of the best defenses in the MLS. The problem with DC is that they are coming into this one on a pretty poor run of form. They were very much in contention for the Supporters Shield heading into the final few weeks, but they faltered badly down the stretch, culminating in a 5-0 thumping at the hands of the Columbus Crew in the final week of the season.
They are going to have to try and get that defeat out of their heads, which is not going to be easy to do considering that it came just 4 days prior to this game. DC United won the last time they faced New England on home field, but that was back when they were flying high.
The New England Revolution know that they are going to have to attack if they want to move on to the MLS eastern Conference semi-final, and they are certainly a team that is built to do just that. They had a very nice warm up game on the weekend, with a trip to New York City ending in a comfortable 3-1 win. The Revolution are loaded with offensive talent, with the likes of Lee Nguyen, Charlie Davies, and Chris Tierney all capable of hurting opposing defenses. There is the possibility that the Revs will be forced to play a counter-attacking style in this one, and they are going to need their attacking players to make the most of any chances that fall their way. This is a tough draw for New England, but one that they can overcome if they are not wasteful up front.
Consider This Before Placing Your Bet
The last 5 meetings between these two teams in DC has seen United win 4 times. You have to go back to 2013 to find the last time the Revolution won there, which makes their task seem all the more impossible. I have to go with DC United here, but it will be a close one.
