Top EPL Games to Bet and Watch this Week From Aug. 13th to 15th

Friday, Aug. 13th Match

  • Arsenal -113 / Brentford +285

Arsenal shows a draw and 3 losses in their 4 club friendlies. Brentford drew 2-2 with Manchester United in their lone club friendly. Arsenal is getting the benefit of the doubt, but Brentford rocked it in the English League Championship last season. The home team can pull off the upset.

Soccer Pick: Brentford

Saturday, Aug. 14th Matches

  • Leeds +1 ½ (-172) / Manchester United -1 ½ (+130)

Towards the end of last season, no Premier team was as hot as Leeds. But Leeds faces a rejuvenated Man United squad in this. United acquired Jadon Sancho. Sancho is one of the reasons Erling Haaland and Dortmund had so much success. He’ll be the reason the Red Devils win this on the handicap.

Soccer Pick: Manchester United

  • Aston Villa +118 / Watford +220

Crystal Palace beat Watford 3-1 in the home team’s lone club friendly. Aston Villa won their club friendly by a 3-1 score. Watford projects as one of the worst teams in the EPL this season while Villa has a chance to surprise. The road squad gets the nod.

Soccer Pick: Aston Villa

  • Crystal Palace +1 ½ (-102) / Chelsea -1 ½ (-129)

On April 10, the Champions League titleholders beat Crystal Palace 4-1. Chelsea’s offense should be better this season than it was last. The defense is second-to-none while Thomas Tuchel has proven he can coach an underdog to an upset win over a loaded squad. Nobody picked Chelsea to beat Man City three times last season, but it happened. The Blues roll.

Soccer Pick: Chelsea

  • Southampton +275 / Everton -111

Neither team looked great in their club friendlies. But Everton beat Southampton 1-0 in the last head-to-head and this happens on their pitch, making Everton the squad to back.

Soccer Pick: Everton

  • Brighton & Hove +136 / Burnley +210

Neither Burnley nor Brighton have played since May 23. Nor did either go through massive changes during the offseason. Although this can go either way, Brighton looks like the better squad. Take the decent odds on the road team.

Soccer Pick: Brighton

  • Wolverhampton +144 / Leicester City -166

The Wanderers won both of their club friendly matches. Leicester has an edge, though. On paper, they’re the better team. Also, this happens on LC’s pitch. But the odds on Leicester make them an underlay. Plus, Leicester could bounce after beating the Sky Blues last week and winning the Community Shield. Wolverhampton gets the call.

Soccer Pick: Wolverhampton

  • Liverpool -1 ½ (-125) / Norwich City +1 ½ (-106)

Is it us, or does it feel like the Reds are going to rock it this season? Sure, Wijnaldum bounced, but Pool remains one of the more loaded teams in the English Premier. Jota, Salah, Mane and Firmino will ensure Liverpool covers this handicap.

Soccer Pick: Liverpool

Sunday, Aug. 15th Matches

  • West Ham United +113 / Newcastle United +215

Newcastle won the last head-to-head, but West Ham played much better towards the end of the season. The road team’s odds are above even money, which means they’re fair. We’ll back West Ham.

Soccer Pick: West Ham United

  • Manchester City -178 / Tottenham Hotspur +420

Harry Kane wants to play for City, which means he probably won’t step onto the pitch on Sunday. That doesn’t mean the Sky Blues take this. While City shelled out 100 million euros for Jack Grealish, the Hotspur quietly signed the best defender in Serie A last season, 23-year-old Christian Romero. Pep still doesn’t know who his primary striker will be. Tottenham can pull off the upset.

Soccer Pick: Tottenham
