Top EPL Games to Watch this Weekend (Jan. 1st – 3rd)

Friday, Jan. 1st Matches

  • West Ham +268 / Everton -105

Everton has won 4-of-5. The loss happened against Man United. It was a bad loss, which should provide ammunition to those looking to back West Ham. But Everton offers decent odds at -105 to protect their home pitch in regulation.

Soccer Free Pick: Everton

  • Aston Villa +317 / Manchester United -138

Don’t look now but Man United is 3 points behind Liverpool on the EPL Standings. Aston Villa has 26 points, making them 4 points worse than Man U. The odds don’t paint a factual picture about Aston Villa’s chances of pulling off the upset. Villa beat United in the last head-to-head. We’re taking the overlay odds on the dog.

Soccer Free Pick: Aston Villa

Saturday, Jan. 2nd Matches

  • Leeds +285 / Tottenham -128

Does Leeds have any chance of beating Tottenham? We think so. Tottenham is a mess. They’ve got a single win in their last 5 and that was versus Stoke City in the Carabao Cup. Leeds has won 3-of-4.

Soccer Free Pick: Leeds

  • Sheffield +284 / Crystal Palace -101

Sheffield has been a complete burnout in their last 5. They’ve played as bad as any squad in the English Premier League. But the underdogs beat Crystal Palace in the last head-to-head. Does that mean the underdog has a shot? As Sherriff Molly in Fargo would say, “You betcha!”

Soccer Free Pick: Sheffield

  • Wolverhampton +175 / Brighton & Hove +161

The last 3 times Wolverhampton and B&H have thrown down, the match has ended in a draw. There’s nothing in either team’s form to suggest this one won’t also end in a draw.

Soccer Free Pick: Draw

  • Arsenal -1 (-102) / West Bromwich +1 (-129)

The Gunners were in awful form before beating Chelsea 3-1 on the day after Christmas. Arsenal parlayed that victory into a 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove. West Brom steps it up against top squads, though. They drew 1-1 versus Liverpool on Dec. 27 and 1-1 versus Man City on Dec. 15. We’re hoping the dog makes it 3 draws in a row versus the better teams in the Premier League.

Soccer Free Pick: Draw

Sunday, Jan. 3rd Matches

  • Fulham +235 / Burnley +114

Fulham has drawn in 4 straight. These two haven’t played against each other in over a year. So it does us no good to against Fulham at the odds. Instead of backing the underdog, we’ll go for the draw and hope Fulham makes it 5 straight.

Soccer Free Pick: Draw

  • Leicester City -1 (+102) / Newcastle +1 (-136)

Leicester has fallen on hard times. It’s almost impossible to back City at -1. It’s even more impossible to back Leicester on the moneyline. So, yep, we’re going for the draw again.

Soccer Free Pick: Draw

  • Manchester City +120 / Chelsea +192

The Sky Blues have finally gotten it into gear. Manchester City has won 3 in a row, including beating Arsenal 4-1. Chelsea is a freaking disaster. They’ve got 3 losses and a draw in their last 5. The win happened versus West Brom, so, we can’t read too much into it. The great Kevin de Bruyne leads Man City to a 2 goal win.

Soccer Free Pick: Manchester City
