Top Serie A Games to Watch this Weekend (Dec. 22nd – 23rd)

Tuesday, Dec. 22nd Matches

  • Parma Calcio +152 / Crotone +171

Parma looks tough. They’ve got a victory, 3 draws, and a loss in their last 5. But even though they’re in better form than Crotone, the loss happened to Juventus by 4 goals on Dec. 19. It’s difficult to see the road team turning things around in less than a week.

Soccer Free Pick: Crotone

  • Fiorentina +1 ½ (-120) / Juventus -1 ½ (-109)

On February 2, Juventus beat Fiorentina 3-0. Juve heads into this off a 4-0 win versus Parma. They’re playing as well as they have all year, meaning they should have no trouble taking down the underdogs by at least 2 goals.

Soccer Free Pick: Juventus

Wednesday, Dec. 23rd Matches

  • Inter Milano -1 (-107) / Hellas Verona +1 (-123)

Inter is back to their best form. They’ve got 4 wins and a draw in their last 5. In the last head-to-head, Verona drew with Milano. That was back in July, though. Whatever ailed Inter in July no longer ails them now. They can win by 2.

Soccer Free Pick: Inter Milano

  • Benevento +330 / Udinese -117

Benevento won their last by a 2-0 score. That didn’t impress. If it had, the spread between these two would be much shorter than +330 and +117. Udinese should win. So, if you’re looking to back a team to grab the victory, they’re the play. The draw is attractive, though, because Udinese has drawn in their last couple.

Soccer Free Pick: Draw

  • Genoa +236 / Spezia +108

Both teams are in terrible form. The last time Genoa and Spezia played against each other was 2013. It’s impossible to choose between the two. That makes this the perfect game to back the draw.

Soccer Free Pick: Draw

  • Atalanta -1 (-103) / Bologna +1 (-128)

Atalanta has 3 wins and 2 draws in their last 5. The Champions League Round of 16 participant beat Bologna 1-0 in July. Although Atalanta could get a 1-0 lead and coast, the odds say we give the favorites the benefit of the doubt.

Soccer Free Pick: Atalanta

  • Lazio +204 / AC Milan +118

AC has a 1-point lead over Inter on the Serie A Standings. They get Lazio at home, which accounts for the odds difference. Lazio heads into this off a 2-0 win against Napoli, though. That’s enough of a reason to consider backing the dog on the moneyline.

Soccer Free Pick: Lazio

  • Cagliari +1 ½ (-104) / AS Roma -1 ½ (-106)

Cagliari’s 4 draws and a loss doesn’t make them a contender to win straight up. It does make them a contender on the handicap. These two drew in September in a club friendly. The draw is a nice play. So, consider. But the best play is on Cagliari at +1 ½.

Soccer Free Pick: Cagliari

  • Sassuolo +104 / Sampdoria +106

Sampdoria has won two in a row. Not only that, but they hung with Napoli and AC Milan earlier in December, losing by a single goal in those matches. They’re the home team on Wednesday, making them a solid play at the above even money odds.

Soccer Free Pick: Sampdoria

  • Torino +1 ½ (-109) / Napoli -1 ½ (-111)

Napoli is not in their best form. The chalk has lost two in a row. Torino shouldn’t win, but they can keep this respectable with a 1-goal loss. We’re backing the underdog.

Soccer Free Pick: Torino
