There are a lot of things that can derail a title bid at the most crucial stage of the season. The English Premier League had three potential winners a couple of weeks back, but it’s now more than fair to say that the race is now down to two. It looks as though Liverpool and Manchester City will be battling it out for the title, as Tottenham have now fallen off the pace after a tough couple of weeks.
The problems for Tottenham began when they lost Harry Kane to injury a few weeks back, and while they survived that, they seem to be letting the news that manager Mauricio Pochettino is being actively pursued by Manchester United affect them. Pochettino has an uncharacteristic meltdown at the end of a loss to Burnley, making it appear as though he is feeling the stress. Rumors now suggest that United are going to stick with interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, so perhaps Tottenham can relax and get back to the business of winning when they host London rivals Arsenal on Saturday. Tottenham is a ½ goal favorite, with the O/U set at 2 ½.

Why bet on Tottenham?
With back to back losses to Burnley and Chelsea in the past 10 days, Tottenham now finds themselves 9 points out of the lead with just 10 games to play. Mathematics tells you that they still have time to overcome that deficit, but the reality is that neither Liverpool nor Manchester City are likely to drop that many points during the run in.
Tottenham is still in a very solid position, as they have almost certainly done enough to secure a top 4 spot, which means Champions League football again next season. Tottenham continues to play at Wembley until their new stadium is ready, and they have not had a ton of success there. In fact, at 9-0-4, Tottenham has just the 5th best home record in the league, scoring 24 and surrendering 12 in those games.
Expected Line-up
- 1-H. Lloris
- 4-T. Alderweireld
- 2-K. Trippier
- 33-B. Davies
- 6-D. Sánchez
- 17-M. Sissoko
- 11-E. Lamela
- 23-C. Eriksen
- 8-H. Winks
- 7-Son Heung-Min
- 10-H. Kane
Why bet on Arsenal?
It has been an up and down season for the Gunners, who seem to be finding their feet again in the home stretch. They have won 4 of their last 5 games and are coming off a 5-1 demolition of Bournemouth in midweek. The goal for Arsenal right now is to hold off a surging Manchester United team to nab the #4 spot in the league, which would also mean Champions League football next season.
If they are to maintain their current standing, Arsenal needs to get better when playing on the road. The Gunners are just 5-3-5 away from home this season, which is just 8th best in the league. The defense has been an issue in road games, with Arsenal scoring 25 and surrendering 26 in those outings.
Expected Line-up
- 19-B. Leno
- 18-Nacho Monreal
- 5-S. Papastathopoulos
- 6-L. Koscielny
- 25-C. Jenkinson
- 31-S. Kolašinac
- 10-M. Özil
- 7-H. Mkhitaryan
- 11-L. Torreira
- 29-M. Guendouzi
- 14-P. Aubameyang

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction for Tottenham vs Arsenal
Arsenal won their first meeting with Tottenham this season by a score of 4-2, but I don’t see them having the same success at Wembley as they had in their own building. I have a tough time believing that Spurs will lose 3 in a row, so I am on them to win, and I also like the OVER.
