Football fans finally got their fix of NFL action. We have waited months for the NFL to return, and it returned in a big way. We saw lots of great action with some close games, along with some surprises along the way. The goal of every team is to win the Super Bowl. After watching the action in Week 1, we’ve come up with a few teams that we think can win the Super Bowl.
Regardless of the Super Bowl odds or what the experts predict, here are a few teams that we think can make it to the big game and have a great shot at winning Super Bowl 56.
Forget the Odds…Who Can Really Win the Super Bowl after seeing Week 1
Los Angeles Rams
Sean McVay has finally found his quarterback. Matthew Stafford looked great against the Chicago Bears. McVay was able to open up his playbook and put Stafford into some great situations. Even though there are still questions about the running game, Darrell Henderson Jr. and Sony Michel make up a formidable duo.
Defensively, the Rams have a great pass rush led by Aaron Donald. Jalen Ramsey may be the best cover corner in the league and can take the opposition’s top receiver out of the game. Although they were playing against Andy Dalton and a Bears offensive line with issues, the Rams defense looked superb.
Cleveland Browns
For three quarters, the Browns looked like a team ready for a Super Bowl run. Even though they self-destructed in the 4th quarter, we still think that Cleveland has what it takes to make it to the big game. Nick Chubb ran well, and Baker Mayfield looked good. We have to remember that Odell Beckham didn’t play, and the offense could be even better with him involved.
Cleveland’s defense is still questionable, as they couldn’t stop Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill. Their secondary needs to improve, but we still have faith in this unit.
Kansas City Chiefs
When you have Patrick Mahomes, you have a great shot at winning a Super Bowl. Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill looked unstoppable on Sunday. Yes, the defense looked vulnerable, but they made some big time plays late in Sunday’s game. They’ll work out some kinks, and they’ll be ready to make another long run in January.
Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins defense could be one of the best defensive units in football. They have one of the best secondaries in football, and they should be able to create turnovers. If Tua Tagovailoa can limit his turnovers and continue to improve, we think that the Dolphins can challenge the Bills for the AFC East and can make a playoff run.
Arizona Cardinals
Arizona’s defense has long been their downfall. That can no longer be said, as the Cardinals defense dominated a strong Tennessee offense. Chandler Jones and JJ Watt were in the Titans backfield all game.
We knew the Cardinals could score points, but we weren’t sure if they could stop anyone. If their defense continues to play well, they could be a hard team to beat.
