As we head into the final week of the 2018 Wimbledon tournament over in England, we get things rolling with what is often described as “Manic Monday.” Both the men’s and women’s tournaments are into the Round of 16, and there will be a lot of big names taking to the court on Monday to see who moves on to the quarter-finals later in the week. We will get into the ladies’ tournament in another piece, but for now, we are going to focus on the men tennis odds to advance, we will separate things by looking at both halves of the draw separately.
Juan Martin del Potro did not disappoint against Gilles Simon, as the Argentinian won the first two sets 7-6, 7-6 to then lost the third one 5-7. Unfortunately, the game was suspended at the beginning of the fourth set, so we will have to wait a little more to know who’s going to the next round, but the reality here though is that Simon has been unable to beat the Argentinian in two previous attempts on grass, so a win for Del Potro here.
The other quarter-finalist will be #1, Rafael Nadal, as he easily won against Jiří Veselý 6-3, 6-3, 6-4.

Top Half of the Men’s Draw
One of the top seed, and defending champion, Roger Federer has breezed into the Round of 16 at Wimbledon, and he did the same going into the quarterfinals. The Swiss won 6-0, 7-5, 6-4. Next up for Federer will be Kevin Anderson, who upset Gael Monfils in a thrilling match 7-6, 7-6, 5-7, 7-6. Milos Raonic won 6-3, 6-4, 6-7, 6-2 against McKenzie McDonald, a player that he has only met once before prior to this Round of 16 meeting. Novak Djokovic has had a tough time returning from injury, but it looks as though he is finding his form here at Wimbledon. Nole kept the momentum going with a solid and comfortable victory against Karen Jachánov (6-4, 6-2, 6-2). He moves on to face Kei Nishikori, who beat Ernests Gulbis 6-4, 6-7, 7-6, 6-1.
